I was watching the first qtr of the 93 QF before, & noticed something in the crowd at the city end goals that sadly I have not seen since another age. The blokes with the inflatable bananas. Did they just drift away once we started to go shit? What happenned to these guys...and did anyone here know them? |

I was watchng that game and after Heaver kicks that goal from the boundary in the 2nd, there was a poncey fat guy jumping up and down, then I saw 2 pumped up guys cheering. I thought "that looks like Mick(my cousin)". I rewinded and I thought "Na, its not him". Rewinded it again and noticed I was the other guy and it was my cousin I saw. Funny thing is that he is a Melbourne supporter but because Melbourne was so shitful, he used to come to carlton finals. The only reason I could think he was so animated was I think everyone hated the Crows when they 1st came into the comp. |

Ive done a search of the Blueseum under 'banana' and other than game references to banana goals and the Lance Collins bio (credited with inventing the banana kick), we've got nothing. If anyone knows the background to these people, or can get some screen shots / images of this, I'd appreciate it for site. |

How about a guy that use to be in the cheersqaud, had a big moustache and his nick name was OX? Is he still part of the cheersqaud have not seen him for years? |
