But AFL football operations general manager Adrian Anderson said he had been set a "detailed response" from the Blues this year, but said the club needed to implement a policy when dealing with alcohol.

Anderson said the "the AFL will appoint an appropriate person to consult with the club to further assist the club in its approach to responsible use of alcohol".

"Failure by the club to address this issue will result in sanctions," he said

I agree Budzy. Surely the AFL are taking the piss or perhaps calling this person a babysitter is giving his role a bit too much cred.
Id say he is just someone who is going to work out whether any of rules we implement are within the rules. Someone to report back to the afl that things are actually happening. Babysitter might be a bit too much.

Glad its all over though. Maybe now the AFL can channel their energies into straightening out the culture of violence at Essendon* and StKilda.
