Just got my 2010 Prospectus and already building a Supercoach team (Will there be a TC League?)

Two interesting things:
Marcus Davies has elite junior scores
They reckon Kane Lucas may struggle to step up

Given that Marcus went at 43, I hadn't considered him a chance, but now...

I have thought for a while that the number one thing we need to become contenders is a class Half Forward. If only we got RYAN O'KEEFE . Kane Lucas could be this player. Especially with the Forward Line back on the whiteboard right now, I thought he was a huge chance to get himself pencilled in as a key part of the plan, and get played every week from now on.

Thoughts. By the way - any other suggestions for value picks - I reckon Martin at Richmond is a sure bet.

P.S. I haven't seen them play or train, and this is on paper only... until round one.

What does the Prospectus say about Kane Lucas exactly?

I would expect him to play seniors by round 3 or 4.

He tested elite at the draft camp.

number 1 at the camp in agility, number 3 at the camp in 3 kilometre trial and number 5 in the 20 metre sprint.

Also he has played senior footy in the WAFL. All should add up to a funky situation.

Quote:
He'll get games, but keep in mind he struggled with the step up to WAFL seniors.

Quote:
He played 12 senior games for East Fremantle in the WAFL last season, averiging 17 disposals and 4 marks. After initially struggling in his first few matches at this level, his biggest performance came in the final round when he won 26 disposals, grabbed 11 marks and booted 3 goals

I think that Lucas is more likely to develop into a Nick Stevens type of player with great skills running off the wing and interchanging on ball. The half forward line could be very interesting this year especially if Mark Austin can step up down back and release Jarrad Waite to the utility role. Henderson at CHF Kreuzuer in the forward pocket Waite on the flank with Yarran, Betts, Garlett, Robinson, Simpson Cacchia Houlihan Gibbs Judd Murphy rotating through the half forward flanks and forward pockets.
