Couple that with the JC shot and I think we have the makings of a homicidal maniac playing AFL.

Why won't anyone think of the children?

Juddy eat's children!!

Given the media's fascination and obsession with dragging us down into the shit with the Dees, I think this thread deserves to be resurrected.

Speaking of Juddy, I'm surprised the HS never picked up this story and ran it through the translator

SACK THE RECRUITING TEAM

According to the Hun....

Quote:
COLLINGWOOD recruiting genius Derek Hine plundered the VFL in today's rookie draft, snaring three exciting mature-age prospect

and all Carlton did was re-rookie a couple of no-names

Collingwood have a good list and recruited for their needs. Regardless of whether the rookies make their main list they will ensure those ahead of them work hard. Sam Dwyer is an expectional footballer at vfl level and given how long it's taken him to get a chance hell do everything he can to earn a game. Basically that will keep those ahead of him on their toes. Not saying hine is a genius but they been smart

Carlton will expose its players to a gruelling pre-season camp in Arizona

Sam Edmund
Herald Sun

CARLTON will expose its players to a gruelling pre-season camp in Arizona, where it expects the bitter cold freezing weather to take its toll.

The Blues won't arrive in Flagstaff until December 3 - a month later than last year - for a testing two-week stay in snowy conditions and with temperatures close to zero.

The travelling party will has plans to retreat nearly 50km south to the picturesque town ofSedona if the weather turns really particularly nasty.

But the colder conditions aren't the only changes. Carlton's travelling party will endure a more challenging fitness program after a lot of last year's maiden trip was spent indoors coming to grip with Mick Malthouse's philosophies.

New fitness boss David Buttifant will take charge of a smaller squad of 33 to 34 players, with the club's older and injured rehabilitating players, including Veteran Chris Judd, Andrew Walker, Andrew Carrazzo and Heath Scotland, spared the tripwill be among those to stay behind.

Last year every player attended, with only Eddie Betts leaving early for family reasons.

Football manager Andrew McKay said the group would be strongly challenged.

"David Buttifant is on board now now and it's the second time over under (coach) Mick Malthouse, which means there will be a bit more physicality involved," McKay said yesterday.

"It's a chance to keep improving the game plan and the structures and build on what we started in 2013. There will be a bit of time in the classroom, so to speak, but certainly a lot more physical activity, which will be quite testing for the boys."

"It will be colder and they'll be more snow around so it will be even more testing than previously."

The Blues will make a longer and more arduous ascent of Humphreys Peak, while a trek into the Grand Canyon will also be made more challenging.

The club has tentative arrangements to use Northern Arizona University's Skydome for running sessions, but the availability of the facility is dependent on the fate of the local football team, the Lumberjacks.

Disgraceful.

Sam Edmund's a good Carlton man and usually pretty good with his stories. Prepared to give him a pass.

I've got a low opinion of the Hun, but that's terrible even by their standards. Obviously proof readers are a thing of the past.

Maybe the quotes are correct. Maybe McKay actually did say 'on board now now' & 'second time over under Mick Malthouse'. McKay is to blame surely..

Doc McKay is a University of Melbourne graduate. Even beats Hirdy (Monash). Surely not?

Pretty sure "second time over under Mick Malthouse" is perfectly reasonable to say - second time flying over to AZ under Mick's coaching. :donk:
