Reinforcing the prejudices of the uneducated and willfully ignorant might be a means of media control to pacify and quieten the useless eaters..

But this probably serves the narrow needs of an elite instead of anything helpful for wider society.

well at least there's someone that has a use for the HUN aside from chip wrappers and toilet paper.

I find that the HUN's tabloid size fits the bottom of the chicken house quite well.

Looks like this Police investigation will take as long as Fair Work Australia's investigation of allegations of misuse of a union credit card by Craig Thomson

The Translator seems a little wonky this morning:

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/a ... 6263121387

A story about Priority Picks and Tanking and we do not even rate a mention - John Ralph and the sub-editorial team will need a good kick up the clacker.

F@&k this paper shits me.
One week Scotto is front and back page about a supposed 'king hit' from behind in a supposed 'unprovoked' attack. The next week has seen not 1 article following up on the matter!
Very annoying that a supposed 'professional' rag can run with stories that prove to be complete garbage and nothing is done about it.
What about the reputations of the people they slander. Scotto will be tarred with the Hurley brush from now on. Speaking of which, how many articles were written about the Hurley story? A story which indeed was factual??

As I have said before I hope this filthy rag suffers the same fate as their UK cousin- "News of the World"

The story relates to Wade Lees from Casey.
A complete non story in itself.
But what about this Gem

"He handed over his No.25 jumper to Brendan Fevola last year and the pair quickly became mates."

Now that is an obvious segue.

Classy

God willing, a perfectly reasonable opportunity to write Carlton off as a premiership contender will present itself at some stage in the coming months. However, the weekend it loses a pair of truncated practice matches with Chris Judd, Andrew Walker and Michael Jamison and others watching from the safe side of the fence probably isn't it.

Gee I didn't know that comic genius ran in the Hanlon family.

Below a photo of the great Polly Farmer, the great John Nicholls and Sam Newman engaging in a ruck duel. The photo caption should read,
"Polly Farmer blocks Carlton's John Nicholls's access to the footy so Geelong's Sam Newman can get an easy hit out."
