Guys
Just came back from the Women of Carlton "Whats in store for the season" and not much info came out of it, but these are a few points:
Fisher today had his knee surgery, the one Malcheski had, and if all goes well, could be back running in 12 weeks Expect to see a more attacking game style on Friday, as we played too defensively last Saturday Not happy with our delivery into the forwards, expecially to Lachie Henderson on Saturday. Ratts said 'hopefully we could deliver to you properly instead of on your head' About Fev. Does not have any feelings about him playing this week. Is just the number 5 for Brisbane now. We have to move on. We rated Lucas at number 5, so very happy to have him. Rohan Kerr is learning what being an AFL player means. First day at Carlton, he ordered 'fish & chips' and that was the last time. Josh Donaldson is type 1 diabetic, and has about 4 injections a day. Has an extra 3 on game day. He is an awesome guy Josh, and really well spoken.
Not much else, we did not have the chance to ask questions. The MC was Jo Silvagni, and son Ben was there. He is looking forward to playing for Carlton. I love the moment when Ben was looking at the team of the centure painting and at his dad in the picture. He looked so proud. It was cute. Apparently Jo said that Steve gave her to questions to say to Ratts.
We went through the facilities, the pools, the Massage rooms, the locker rooms, the lecture theatre, and warm up area and gym. So So fantastic.
Apparently we have pools that no-one else have. There are three pools, a big one that is 34degrees, and two small recovery ones, one is 5 degrees and the other 10. Also another recovery pool at 43 degrees. The recovery pools are not ready for another 2 weeks, and they have a treadmill in them and cameras under water, to see the bio mechanics of running style.
I have pics and will try and put them up later.
I think everything was covered. Simon White had some Op but is ok now, will play some footy this week. The other guys like Casboult and Donaldson will play in the next Challenge cup game, in WA Ratts said.
