Post subject:  Marc Murphy it is!
I think this is the first time ive posted since my boy has left the club, thought id express my thoughts! While i didnt agree with the decision for Brendan to leave the club, i thought the club could have handled it better and handled better in the past for it not to come to end like this! Fev really did love this club and he has said numerous times since his left that he still does and always will! And while i didnt agree with the decision i have now accepted the trade and think in the end it was probs for the best for brendan to starts fresh at a new and good club like brisbane for the blues to start fresh! I look forward to seein hendo play aswell i rekon he will be alrite. I really hope that blues supporters dont boo Brendan when we play the lions (but i know how some supporters are), because he has done a lot of good things for the club, more good things than bad, and in my opinion will go down as a legend of this club! Now i would like to say i still go for the carlton footy club, i love this fukin club and i cant wait for next season to come round next year, should be awesome. And for the title ive decided my fav player at the blues is the little superstar Marc Murphy, and while fev is still my fav player, and ill always love the big feva, the murphster is now my fav player at the club and i will now throw my passion behind the murph so look out anyone who bags him haha :smile: !

Thats it im done, go the blue boys, bring on 2010 and ... WE ARE CARLTON, @#$%&! THE REST

Good on you Fevolution, you barrack for the club not a player.

I too loved Fev - remember me my user name was Fevola.

I still cannot watch footage of him in the replays of any past games, but still look forward to how we are gonna be without him.

He is still a champion of the club, but I will find it hard to watch him in Brisbane Colours. Lucky for us he went interstate and not Collingwood !!

At the end of the day, he did not respect Carlton enough to tow the line, and enough was enough..

I look forward to when he retires, as I dont want him to be successful with another team - selfish ha !!

Anyhow we were never going to progress as a team with being too reliant on him, so I think in the long run we will perform better.

Get on the MM bandwagon and ride it home to a Brownlow and/or a GF medal, hopefully both, in the same year, tied with Gibbo and Special K . :wink:

Good to have you still on here Murpholution. I won't be booing Brendan, even though I think the right call was made. I know there are Carlton people out there who plan on keeping in touch with him with a view to seeing a better individual emerge over the next few years and this being particularly pertinent to his life post-football. It's not an easy transition, even for someone earning Brendan's coin, but I think your mate will be okay - that wouldn't have been the case had he stayed at Carlton.

The Fevolution Revolution: Murpholution.

Mate I felt for you at the time of the biggest decision for the club since the Judd coup, and before that the Diesel coup.

Dick Pratt is the Godfather...different class altogether. :idea:

I wish he didn't @#$%&! up as he does too :banghead: Lets move on. What's done is done.

I will never boo him. He admitted his shortfall; that's good enough for me.
He gave me a lot of hope and joy in tough times.
He made public his love for the club....and that was forever.
And forever Fev will be close to my heart and that of my 2 boys (Fev fans)...especially when I look back at those dark (Ron Evans instigated) years 2002-2007.

He was Carlton for that period, but I'm glad to say, that Carlton is Carlton again and we're knockin' on that Premiership door...from 2010 and throughout the Golden Decade. :beer:

Fev was part of the Fevolution...sorry Revolution of the club.
Dick was the instigator of the Renaissnace period. :gift:

You took it hard. Alot did. I did, but I knew it was for the better.
All of us took it bad in a small or big way, but the future is Blue Skies and we kick on...bigger than ever.

Murphy: what a good choice. Murpholution is all yours (or should I get in now and sell it to you :grin: )
Whilst my favourite is Waite, I really think there's a cope group who are the future...about 35 of them (we have incredible depth).

Lets focus on the future, respect the past and wish Fev all the best with his new club (interstate thank god), and welcome him back when he retires flagless. :wink:

Onya Fevolution...great to see you're with us as we march onwards to 17!! This Club needs your passion :thumbsup:

There is a lesson though for all of us. Just because we love someone doesn't mean that they are perfect, and doesn't mean that they don't need some criticism or punishment or discipline. You rightly say that the Club could have handled him better in the past, I completely agree. But there were a lot of people on here who kept defending him each time he stepped out of line, saying his behaviour wasn't worth punishment, and to get off his back. With the benefit of hindsight, we can see now how much that hurt him, and the Club, and us as supporters. If all those who loved him hadn't have excused his behaviour time and time again, then perhaps the Club might have been tougher on him back then, and he might still be wearing the number 25.

But that's all done and dusted. Murphalution it is!! Hendmurphalution it is! Carltonhendamurphalution it is! :thanks:

It'll be hard to see him in another jumper that's for sure.
We might feel sick about it...but we're all focusing on our beloved team...and I guess the truth is...they are gonna be happier without the baggage...who knows how many will step up and kick more goals than we dreamed of!(specially with no fear of kidney punches eh!!)

Fev will get booed, there's no doubt about that. But for the most part, I'd say it will be good natured. I think Fev would be disappointed if he didn't attract a bit of attention, haha. He is the archetypal pantomime villain. He will love it. :thumbsup:
