Ratten's plan B is to put Judd at Full forward

http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/87157/default.aspx

This bloke can not coach.

Here is an image of him next season in the coaches box working out his next strategy when this one fails on its ass

I thought Plan B was to play a variety of players, which will most likely include Judd...

Ignore the subeditor's take.

Watch the press conference to hear the context of Ratten's statements.

http://bigpondvideo.com/carltontv/223726

Ratten wants to protect Judd from the smashing he cops week in, week out and get the best out of him by resting him inside fifty.

That's why we brought in Mclean.

I guess Ratten reads Synbad's posts.

Ditto

I didn't read anything left of centre in that interview.

Mix it up.

Judd has done well forward before...for a so called rest or break from taggers, even played there in a final when his groins were shot and managed to kick 2 goals.

I think in his 2nd year at WCE he kicked 26 or 29 goals.
Would be great to see him, Murphs, Gibbs and Simmo amongst the goals in 2010. Say 20 goals for two of them and 30 for the other 2 would be nice.

Sounds like there's a growing belief in Setanta. Interesting that the kid born in a football family (Cloke) was delisted, and the kid from Ireland (Setanta) with a Hurley background has been given 2 years. In Setanta I believe; he's the senior out there in 2010, and I expect a big year from him...40 goals....why not?

Did you even think about it before you rushed to write a post to bag Ratten?

Last year people were happy to see Judd in the forward line to mix it up and be more potent or simply when he needs a break from the midfield. It will cause headaches for the opposition and will score/create goals.

Just another example of the plethora of issues in AFL that are grossly exaggerated and taken way out of context by the media so the nuff nuffs can have something to talk about in the off season

Pathetic

Well I guess "Waite, Kruezer, O'Hailpin aided by some medium-sized players in the mix to fill Fev's boots" doesn't have the same shlock value does it....

This is a great thread! Ill-informed, no thought, misogynistic and chauvinistic.

That ticks all the boxes.

The media is bullshit. Channel 10, now channel 7 all reporting that Carlton are looking to put Judd at full forward.

Oh my gosh, that is not what Ratten said. He said he will rest forward from time to time. IDIOTS!!!!!!!!

This is a good plan - the Carlton marketing plan

Just after the slogan announcement we now have a Judd story on the national news.

Advertising equivelant to all this free publicity would cost a bucket load.

Talking about Judd to FF gets us on the news again....all just part of the membership drive by keeping fans excited about next year, and yet again more exposure for our sponsors.
