I will always consider news about Kennedy to be a Carlton topic - well done to the lad - he'd be handy now in light of our other key forward who we moved on http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/87142/default.aspx |

Well done Josh ![]() And yes, a Josh/Hendo forward 50 would've been something. |

..i like mister Kennedy, always a fan and always will be.. ..but he's had a history of injuries, and time will tell whether he's over them, or if he'll stay more a bit-part player due to being in and out of the side.... ..i hope he stays fit, i reckon he'd make a good, work-horse type CHF.. ..i think playin' alot of games at subi will suit him.. |

Full credit to JK for being professional and getting on with the business. Quality individual. |

Always liked JK, good kid and an always improving player. But i'm more excited about Henderson and what promise he has. Would've been nice to have had either of the two play with Fev now, while they are ready to go (less so Hendo) but thems the breaks Good luck to Josh |

He plays for West Coke guys !! He is not a Carlton player anymore - so why th Carlton thread. I couldn't give a ratts about a player who no longer has our jumper on - unless you have been made a life member and have gone elsewhere to retire ie Fev |

I couldn't give a ratts about a player who no longer has our jumper on - unless you have been made a life member and have gone elsewhere to retire ie Fev I disagree. Because he came here as a kid not just to a new football club but to a new life. Because he gave it his absolute all despite injuries setting him back. Because he showed 100 per cent commitment to the club, to his team mates, and to the fans. Because where others have left and walked (Hamill), or wanted more money to keep playing (countless others), all Kennedy wanted to do was put on the navy blue jumper. The rumours are he even said he'd take a pay cut to stay despite being on a very low sum anyway. But football is a business and we needed Judd and so Kennedy had to go. It was the right move for us, Judd is doing for us what Kennedy wouldn't have been able to both on and off the field (that's why we did the trade). In a perfect world we'd have both. But it's not a perfect world and so we only have Judd. But that's no reason for us to not support, congratulate and take pride in a player who showed a commitment to our club that we would hope every player walking through the doors to Princess Park exemplifies. The Judd-Kennedy trade highlighted how far our club had come since the dark days in 2002. The best player in the game wanted to come, and one of the brighest youngsters in the game really really really wanted to stay. You can't have everything in football, but in this case we can show respect. |
