What culinary masterpiece are Judd, Murphy, Gibbs, and Kreuzer cooking up in that pot?

Well they've got a magpie in there, so I think it’ll have some poultry in it; and they’re got a F-111 bomber in there, so I reckon it’ll be hot n’ spicy.

I’m going to say they’re cooking Jambalaya.

Belies belief that if we knew this was going to be our marketing slogan for 2010, why did we not have someone planned to appear on Masterchef? Whilst, yes, it would have probably gone horribly wrong, as we watch on in horror as a drunken Fev takes a leak in Kirk Penngilly's creme broule, before getting Matt Preston in a headlock and parading him round the kitchen, it would have been some decent forward planning just the same.

FWIW - we're cooking up a shit sandwich. It's just a matter now of finding out who eats it at the end of the year.

brazen publicity like that is setting people up for a let down.

because there will be more disappointment before success comes for Carlton.

I do not like the slogan, but if it is taking the focus off Fev and generating millions of dollars of publicity for the Blues, as long as the publicity is positive and the memberships increase, I'll pay that one.

Re the shit sandwich. The saying about Shit Sandwichs suggests:

"The more bread you have [in a shit sandwich] the less shit you eat"

So, if the slogan generates lots of bread for the club, and we are successful by making the finals and do as the slogan illustration suggests by discarding our arch enemies Bumbers and Woodies in 2010, then the shit sandwich is a tasty brew, and I'll take my hat off to the marketing department...not till then though.

The jury is out at the Bondi Beach court.

Surely there should be a question mark at the end of the slogan.

A bad slogan is one thing, but bad punctuation is unacceptable.

They havent done the wrong thing in trading Fevola - but I think that it will take a bit of time for the new forward structure to be effective.

maybe the slogan is talking about a meal that involves slow food.

Slow food dishes take time - but the results can often be exquisite..

RECIPE:
Take one half-way decent footy club.
Peel and remove forward line, discard.
Add the best mid-field in the league.
Add last year’s coaching ideas, and this year’s improving players.
Add three draft picks and a St Kilda reject.
Stir in two cups of desperation, one pound of hope, and bake in a cauldron.
Serve with beer for twenty-two weeks.

And hope like hell it tastes better than hot pies.

While I agree that a question mark would be correct punctuation, this is a statement more than a question. So while technically there should be a question mark, it makes sense to me that there isn't.

The Rock never wanted a reply and neither do we.
