hey, chris...

I guess you are 1 year older and 1 year better...

wot about you wake up barnesy or clint so we can set a date ??

looks like we can't play the sainters until november, so an earlier game against you blokes would suit us fine...

regards,

Ok I am editing my original response:

Speaking with Demonology, we are going to incorporate a round robin:

Talking Carlton
Demonology
Saintsational

A few things - I think two weeks is too short notice, then lead up the Melb Cup weekend, so I would think Sun 8th November would be the most appropriate.

So my suggestion would be:

Sunday 8th November
1 pm start
4 x 15 min quarters (to be adjusted after consultation)
Gosch's Paddock?

We need:

Scorer
Umpire
Goal Umpire

25 players

I am sure I can play but will confirm.

From Talking Carlton end it is essential we get back to fielding a team we originally had two years ago, with so many drop outs our strength was removed and the results speak for themselves. We never want to lose but fielding what we have when we know we have 4 or 5 who should be playing hurts.

The other thing is the integrity of the game, it is important that we ensure that the teams consist predominantly of forum users, not 10 players who play local footy and come along as mates, it falsifies the skill level and dilutes the spirit of these games.

So lets see what we can do.

Now it is important to note I work arvo shift, so I won't be on during the evenings ok.

So lets go.

Do we play on the football ground at Gosch or just in the paddock?

the ground last time

This is now a round robin:

Talking Carlton - Demonology - Saintsational

Two games each - reduced quarters

Overall similar total game time

Important we get numbers

unless the council has changed its tune you might be hard pressed to play on the oval at gosch's. last time. they knocked us back so we ended up playing at vic park.

Post subject:  Re: forum footy ??

the trick is, polar, you don't ask... :smoking:

the sainters are talking about asking the collingwood guys to make up a 4th team for the day, and to move the venue to vic park...

don't think us dees would have a problem with that, although we would be saving our best efforts to grind the black and white... :fight:

regards to all (collingwood supporters excepted),
