Enough of this talk about tanking, spanking and wanking, I want four points this week.
Who gives a hat about what these four points will mean in 2037 when Silvagnis grandkids are ruing the day we beat Sydney? Who gives a hat about the 'window of opportunity' a win will allow us to SHAMEFULLY get OFF the bottom of the table? Who gives a hat about the pimple faced 17 year old who might be pretty good but also might not be worth us going through a painstaking season of supporting the opposition for?

I want four points! I want that winning feeling! I want some serious HAT!

GO BLUES!

Yes! I'm actually expecting a win. Matchups are just about even, however if Leo Barry plays on Whitnall, it will be a sorry sight.

If Carlton somehow manages to lose, I don't know how you could not call that 'an abysmal Carlton season'. At this point Carlton will not have to play for picks, it will be inevitable.

Carlton will win, but in an ugly way.

Hear, hear.

Blind loyalty, false idols and all of that, I wouldn't rule out a trifecta of wins in the following three rounds.

Shame on me, shame on you, shame on someone!

My opinion is that we will see history in the making. The first ever 1-0 result in football (or as a friend put it the other day, maybe even 3-2 on penalties). A team of defenders vs a team that can't ge the ball inside 50.

To make matters worse, the spotlight is on Sydney to play an attacking brand of football, with Jabba in Sydney today and Walls poking the fire again!

Yes lets beat the leagues second most rabble side and get the points.
I i hope our Ark will be bigger than theres this week...

This is the week when penalties are conceived for AFL.
Bet the discussion wont be about bouncing the ball in the centre but do we bring the penalties into the comp to get a result from 2 gun sides.. both wanting to win 4 points .. (cos winning is that important)

If Lance plays forward, Fev will get Barry, who will take Red, this is a chance for Lance to have a big one.

Been waiting for Lance to have a big one. ..... years....
I hope he does play a big one.. so hes worth more than a packet of Smiths Crisp Chips come the end of the year..

People think i want Lance to fail... thats not the case at all... Im praying Lance shows something before the end of the year....

Am I alone in thinking this might just be a free-flowing, interesting game?

Winning this weekend against Sydney might be the difference between us recruiting the next S.Kernahan to our club and not.

By the sound of it, there are a couple of very classy key forwards for the taking this draft period in Mitch Clarke & Beau Dowler (i know its early but both tipped to go top 5). Wouldn't it be great to pick them both up.

If the draft was around in the mid 80's & we missed the opportunity of drafting Sticks 'cos of a nothing game against an also-ran in the middle of the season, how devastating would it have been with the aid of hindsight.

Take the pain everybody, 'cos the benefits will come!!!

Well it might be about bouncing the ball in the centre - and then be about 2 teams just standing there looking at it.

I don't know about you lot.................................BUT I'M GETTING SICK AND flower TIRED of copping shit from 15 other teams because we're acting like a team that has already won a wooden spoon.

Carlton's List > North, Sydney, Essendon*, Collingwood, and possibly Port (i've never thought to much of them with Carr & Stevens!)

So why is it that we can't win a game?

I can understand the whole draft pick thing, and it would be cool to get some closure from the whole Goddard, Wells thing, but jesus - i don't want another spoon and i sure as shit can't take anymore crap from Supporters of teams who, quite frankly, SUCK!

C'Mon Carlton. TRASH Sydney by 100 points! That'll put a smile on the face of that Knob Polishing Street Prostitute Mr. Andrew Demetriou!

Who cares about Hat Clarke and the other Flex.. I WANT TO WIN! Sign the song! Get pissed! Doof it up! (not that I wouldnt be doing that anyway.)

Ive spoken to a few people at the club recently, and the mood around the place is reflective of the dour way weve been playing our footy. We need to desperately lift the spirits of the place, play some exciting yet accountable, attacking football.
KICK IT TO FEV straight out of the fuckn centre. Break the Sydney flood or wall by QUICK PENETRATION. Run with the ball! Take some risks! Hat the hello!
Give Walks, Simmo, Bentick, Clarke, Campo licence to run! If we win and I think Freo lose, we are back in contention for the 8.
Call me a dreamer, call me a hat, call me whatever! I wanna win. I dont want to go through the season not looking forward to next Saturday, but looking forward to the last Saturday.

Things change quickly in football. Lets get some excitement back in the place, release the shackles and play the kind of footy we have shown we can play.

Its not a question of talent, its a question of mindset. Ive been saying this for as long as hat has taken over the world, but it is so true...
CMON BLUE BOYS! IM PUMPED! EEEEDDDDIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

@#$%&! BULLSHIT!

sick of this.

i hope carlton win this week and everyother week just to spite half of a shitty negative so called supporters.

you're meant to support your club through think or thin, and hoping the team loses, or doesnt win more than 5.5 over the year is not @#$%&! supporting is it?

whats the point? so we can be more competive quicker? sure thats great, but to me if i know the club has laid down to do so, i may aswell @#$%&! off to stkilda. christ, i want to support a club with passion and pride, and commitment to giving it their all, week in and week out.

the only time i would ever half hope we were to loose would be if we were down by 30 points and 3/4 time on round 22 already sitting on the PP threashold.
