Whilst the focus has been on finals droughts both in the press and in the Blueseum, the little fact around this being our third longest Premiership Drought, ever, may have been ignored:

http://www.blueseum.org/tiki-index.php? ... p+Droughts

Third longest ever - only after the 1915-1938 and the 1947-1968 "cataclysms".

So that horrible, empty, frustrating experience caused by losing our first final since 2001 may have actually had a deeper cause in your psyche.

Hmm, logic says the gaps will get longer with more teams and salary caps and drafts (stupid clubs like Freo and Richmond not withstanding)

What about the 19 year premiership drought 1887-1906, has that been ignored?

Think he is only talking about AFL/VFL?

Good point blueycarlton, as always - there's a focus on VFL and AFL but tying it back also to 1887-1906 is an interesting piece of information also to the appointment of Worrall at that time.

I've updated the page with a footnote.

It's all going to be ok! :smoking:

Most people expected success between 2009 and 2015. But unfortunately the "We're Carlton flower The Rest!" plan didn't work out for us this time...

I still remember 1995 well..... looks like I'll need to remember them for a long while yet as we smash this horrible record!

I wished I had celebrated it harder.
It might be the last one I see.

Between Carlton and Liverpool FC I've learned to be patient. I'm practically a @#$%&! zen master these days.
