Don't see why he can't be our floater all over the ground next year depending on the game situations.

He's a smart footballer who can read the play and the game situation and has a cool head for good decision making.

Leave the ruck contests to 206 & Hammer.

Kreuzer > Goodes

His improvement from last year to this year is on par with Gibbs improvement last year from the year before. Given what Gibbs achieved this year, good signs for Kreuzer next year.

It's silly talk about him being busted by playing too much. Just like the rot about Judd's career being cut short. Rubbish.

Kreuzer is a genuine attacking player and I'd love to see him play CHF or a roaming target, forward from center and have Betts & Yarran scouting his feet.

Can Kreuzer be the Nick Riewoldt of Carlton in the coming years?

Minus the flashy hair colour of course!

Lets hope so, plus the guy can play in the ruck if we have a ruckman go down.

Kruezer's goal in the opening quarter was awesome!
Gunna be an absolute superstar in coming years.

Like all our Rucks needs he needs to learn to tap to advantage.

We lost the game in clearances again.

When the team is under pressure, Kruezer and Hammer, need to lift and make sure ball is put to advantage.

This is a skill that all our best Ruckman have mastered.

I would like to see them really punch it forward. I am sure that the is something Capuano would have done when he rucked.

I see Kruezer in the Mike Fitzpatrick role. Smart and agile and able to play mostly in ruck and rest across half forward.

He would be wasted playing only CHF as he reads the play differently to how a CHF need to read the play.

The potential is there for Kreuz to be a Goodes-type player (only taller). There's also potential for him to be a Riewoldt type, Dean Cox type or a Richo type. He's a real wildcard and we need to use him correctly. It's very easy to say that if Hammer and 206 have the ruck sewn up, throw Kreuz forward. But this is very simplistic. However if Kreuz is out of the ruck equation (or at least as #1 ruck) he can roam the rest of the ground and find his feet. So yes, we need our ruckman fit and firing because Kreuz is far more valuable to us than as a ruckman. But he needs to be let off the leash and free to play his natural game.

I think his natural game is as a ruckman.

Waitey should be the Goodes style all over the ground player. Kruze to the forward line.

I think Kreuzer is destined for a fair bit of time up forward next year. I think both he and Carlton will be better for it.

He could and should spend sometime running through the midfield as he has quite a good tank and is agile, and it would be such a waste not to use it. Makes him hard to match up on too if the defender has to run around with him around the ground. Revolt runs his opponents into the ground, and I can see Kreuzer doing the same.

Warnock and Hammer in the ruck. Kreuzer in causing havoc in the forward half, and waite running amok wherever he damn well pleases sounds good to me. :smoking:

I think in a very short period of time, this kid (and he still is really) will be
the most important player on CFC's list.

If you look at what he has done already at this stage, and precisely what
has been asked of him, i reckon he is miles ahead of our other number one's.

When he fills out a bit more and adds some genuine muscle then you
might start to see the full package, which i reckon will be pretty awesome.
The glimpses thus far have been more than expected of him.

You are going to hear that guttural kroooooooz for about another 300 games !

I think next year the Kreuze will spend most of his game time up forward but he could given his mobility and love for a contest he could easily spend some time playing as a go to man midfield. He has enough smarts to play alongside an alternating 206 and Hammer, and provide another transition option.

I'm sick of hearing about Mitch Clark & Patty Ryder when i believe we have the standout young ruckman in the competition

This kid is an absolute gem and will continue to grow as a footballer with more experience and games under his belt. To do what he has done this year as a 20 kid playing his 2nd year of football is quite amazing.

I think Kreuzer has a better footy brain and a bigger tank than Waitey.

..well, that's cos both of those players are better in the ruck, than their respective positions.. ..where'as most when talking about Krooz seem to think he'll be used up forward.. ..and personally, i agree.. ..i like the idea of him at CHF, but more'so in the old school CHF role, where he pushes up into the middle of the ground.. ..he'd be a great target for a defense under pressure, a quick kick to position, Krooz marks and wheels about to kick to the space Fev leads into.. ..likewise he can ruck forward, and our actual rucks can float back to help defense..

Kreuzer is at his natural best playing as a ruckman but he is versatile and we need to make the most of it and exploit it.

We will only exploit this ace we have up our sleeves if the players adjust to playing different types of balls forward and we can isolate him more.

Great player.

Needs to work on his marking if we're going to play him up forward. Another pre-season in the gym will help.

I reckon Kruezer is the pick of the three (i.e. Gibbs and Murph) and the reason is he gets his own ball, 2nd 3rd and 4th efforts. May be better used as our inside mid if Warnock lives up to his hype...

I think we are going to see him as a much bigger and stronger player in 2010.

This next 6 months is long enough to build up strength. His 3rd preseason.
He doesn't seem to be carrying any injury other than fatigue.
So it's full steam ahead.

And you know what? He's the type to do it.

Warnock is going to help out a lot. Warnock adds depth. Just like Judd did for Murphy (not saying Warnock = Judd).

Kreuzer will be a great forward ruckman. He's a good reader of the play and he likes to get to the next kick; quickly.

The prototype roaming CHF/ Ruckman/ Ruck Rover.

Kreuzer is going to be one of the legends of the game; he's a freak.

He's only 20yo. There's 10 years ahead for him and 350 games awaiting.

Enjoy the Kreuzer.
