Well its so easy to jump on the doom and gloom gravy train
so thought maybe we could consider it from another angle.

We have had 3 other beltings during 2009, heres what happened

round 9 lost to Adelaide 60-104
round 10 beat West Coast 111-70

round 13 lost to Essendon* 67-136
round 14 beat Fremantle 115-100

round 17 lost to Collingwood 40-94
round 18 beat North 94-84.

Perhaps you could call me foolhardy, judging only by the teams we beat the
weeks after those performances, but who is to know ?
However it does show, they are capable of bouncing straight back, and all
at CFC would know that, surely an integral part of this weeks gee up for them.

Maybe they were in holiday mode against Adelaide once it got a bit too hard
after quarter time, gawd knows it looked like it.

But i do think this team is developing some character, of that i am sure, it has
to come from the top and i would be amazed if number 5 doesnt turn it on next
week and the others hopefully cling to his coat tails !

Remember that line Juddy used to the West Coast player about why his
shoulders were wrapped so tight and half stuffed ?
Well i hope he never, ever, gets to repeat it about players wearing navy blue.

Cmon Blue Boys, dont let 2009 die up north, give us a chance to appreciate
your efforts this year at least once more this year on our home turf.

Giggity Gig.

So we completely drop our bundle every 4-5 weeks. Looks like we'll either win on GF day or get done by roughly 10 goals

Yeah nicely said. The Blues 0f 2009 are different to the Blues of 2008 and beyond. We have shown this year that we are developing some character and gritt. We are still young and about 2 or 3 players short of a premiership side but over the course of the season we have managed to step up after most of our dissappointing losses. Fingers crossed we can do the same this week.

And I cant see why not! We have beaten the Lions in our last 3 encounters - 2 of them at the Gabba. If Merrett misses the game this will help Fev no end. And with question marks on Bradshaw, Drummond and Black the CFC could string their 4th win in a row against the Lions. The pressure is on them to perform in front of their hime crowd.

As is the case most times you square off against Brisbane - the big thing is beating Browny. If we can keep him to just 2 or 3 goals then we are almost over the line I think. But if he gets enough supply and kicks 5 or 6 we may be in strife.

Have faith Blues Fans...i think we can do it.

If only we were playing Freo, West Coast or Norf.

I would be less confident if we were playing those teams than Brissie.
I have a realllllllyyyyy good feeling about this game.
Maybe cos we've beaten 'em twice already...maybe cos of the theory in this thread....but...It just feels like we will
WIN
but....it could be those field mushrooms I ate earlier....
