What are the chances?

Catters and Dogs are very beatable.

And Saints are beatable too, at least the last 2 weeks have shown that.

So it's not like it's impossible.

AFL would cream themselves.

We might need blueman to confirm but I have it on good authority that a Carlton v Collingwood GF has been arranged for next year to celebrate this:

Id like a Carlton Collingwood GF but Ive thought that it will be Carlton v St Kilda - either in this cycle - or in the next one. Everthing works in cycles..

- Im hoping it's this one. I think that the time we will be in during the next cycle will not be as calm or as relaxed as it is in this one.

Many things align for success for Carlton in the near future - the biggest of these though is a capable team. It didnt matter how positive you were in 2003, 2005 or 2007 - there were just too many holes. That was a time of hanging on and hoping - but now is the time for reaching out for something more.

But I'd like to see the thoughts and hopes of supporters to grow steadily stronger over the next few weeks...

So it's good to see so many Carlton people thinking that we will be dangerous in this finals series.

But I'd really like to see a LOT more Carlton supporters thinking along these lines.

Here's a mind secret for the Carlton faithful - the future can be pushed into a particular direction by the quiet collective thoughts of many people at one time or over a period of time.

This isnt arrogant vocalisation - but it is instead - meditative thinking

This was illustrated very well with the Geelong flag in 2007 - did anyone care to look at the scoreline on that day? - there was an interesting pattern in the numbers of the final score..

And the Geelong people had suffered a great deal and were in no frame of mind to be presumptuous or arrogant - which is the perfect mental disposition for what I am talking about here.

Of course, it also helps to have a developing team with the potential to win a flag to go with all the positive thinking.

Pre existing culture is another very important factor which can make it easier for all this to occur.

Quiet contemplation of the concepts of 'Carlton' and 'premiership' is a lot easier than it is for other teams. Our culture makes the process easier. its that simple.

It gets a bit tricky though when the other team that you are playing against is doing the same thing as you.

I can only predict - but the reality that comes is the sum of thoughts descisions and actions of people.

Everybody can think positively about a flag. Lets all be positive. Its a terrible but very true cliche - just take it one match at a time and be positive.

The players have their job - but they can be helped by a bit of good luck and the best wishes and positive thoughts of all the the supporters.

But dont worry too much if we lose against Adelaide. Im happy to be wrong on this one - especially if this is because people are all starting to think in the right way and the players of course play well. But it might end up being a narrow loss - followed by some last minute pre finals stocktaking - then a fortunate and very lucky break in our first finals match.

Needless to say, the Fev factor is a very important one. Brendan is really an uncomplicated person who really thrives on positive thinking and confidence - he is more mature now - but he still relies on this to a greater degree than other people. Which is yet another reason for the good vibes of Carlton people at this time.

Its all pretty simple stuff - but now we have a capable team the more we all do the thinking stuff - the better it will turn out.

After tonights performance - Carltons 17th flag will be either from a miracle 09 finals run - or else - wait for the war.

Do those who see the future really need to edit the vision 13 times? :sly:

The only three teams we can play in the next two weeks have not beaten us this year.
If we beat Brisbane we either play the Bulldogs or Geelong.
We are 4-0 against those 3 teams.

A blues v Pies gf won't happen. We'll meet in a preliminary Final at best.
