Quote:
SCOTT CAMPOREALE (Carlton) - The Blues' vice-captain badly let his side down in the final term of Sunday's heartbreaking loss to Adelaide at AAMI Stadium with a moment of madness at a crucial stage of the final term.

After more than three quarters of great commitment from the last placed underdogs, the Blues were still only trailing by eight points with just under five minutes to play when Camporeale cost his side any chance of victory with a dreadful kick out of defence.

Having already once elected to go short with the ball deep in the Crows' attack, Camporeale got the ball back and then elected to kick short across goal to youngster Andrew Walker instead of getting the ball out of the danger zone.

The kick to Walker was a shocker, putting him immediately under pressure from Scott Welsh - who forced a turnover and as a result Welsh was able to get the ball to Ken McGregor for the sealing goal as the Blues' effort in the first three quarters ultimately came to nothing.

It was a shit kick and bad option but Walker could learn to keep his feet too. Had he kept his feet, which he should have and which is a fundamental in footy, he might have got out of it.

For what it's worth, Campo was probably in our best 3 players and Walker did a great job on McLeod and it's a shame that this is being highlighted although it was costly.
