We havent won 4 in a row since 2001, we should break that hoodoo quite comfortably next week, now that the Dees have won their 4 games for the season and have 1&2 in the bag.

Blues by 10 goals

I don't care what people are saying about the dees, they're playing with a lot of heart and passion. We MUST NOT take them lightly. We should treat this game the same way we do against a top team.

And hopefully in doing so we will win handsomely as well.

although ill feel sorry for them, i'd like to see us do to melbourne what the pies did to richmond. . .no mercy. . Smash 'em

Just 4 quarters of footy with no injuries would be nice. . .also try a few things up forward with ohailpin, cloke, kreuzer, walker etc finding other gameplans come finals time. . .may sound arrogant to look forward to the finals, but i dont see the dees threatening. . as much as i love their passion . . .13thousand people at the MCG today against freo is a disgrace, but they sounded like 45thousand such was their enthusiasm and love for their club. . .

Cloke out. Warnock in. Cloke is playing at his best - and that's still not good enough. I'd rather see what Warnock can do in the next couple of games as a reference point.

So Hammer won't come straight in?

Awaiting some unusual selections from Melbourne

I'm very interested in the changes that are made for this game. I thought Cloke was very good considering he hasn't played at the top level for so long.
Hammer will probably be ready to return and Warnock could very well get a game.

I think Austin will make a return but probably not next week, but when we come up against good forward lines in the finals I think Aussie will be very important.
Eddie needs a rest so he may be replaced with either Yarran or Garlett, especially after Yarrans performace in the Ants yesterday.

Setanta has struggled to get back to form since returning from injury and I still don't think that Wiggins is up to it, although he played a reasonable game in defense. Also Robbo is playing alright but is still a year or so away from making a big impact, and I would love to see Browne dog get another crack this year and I think his type of game would be good for finals pressure.

We have immunity for this game, we simply cannot lose, as they, simply have too much to lose by winning. I don't know how anyone could be worried.

Finey made a good point on SEN tonight, that the last 3 weeks before today Melbourne had made 47.47 & 51 interchanges, then today it was 100+. They had earmarked the Freo game as one they would try and win, and the previous 3 weeks made sure they didn't. They will make sure they wont against us to (hopefully they wont have to try that hard).

**YAWN**

Judd, Fev, Krezuer and Murph will spend the 4th quarter on the bench with their feet up.

There is no way Melbourne are actually gonna come out and try to win this.

Melbourne's interchange numbers over the last month:

Round 17: 47
Round 18: 51
Round 19: 51
Round 20: 100+

Easy win this one....the big game is in Round 22 where a home final and or a top 4 spot will be on the line....the way we are setting up at the moment we are a big chance to win the last two and go into September full of confidence.

We have a big chance to give the finals a big shake given the way teams have gone this season.

Right now anything is possible.

Very true Juddy anything can happen, but after 6 wins otta the last 7 (def 8 out of the last 9) and the team peaking at the right time, tell me ur just not over the moon by what has transpired this year.

Hope we win a final but still a fantastic year. Just proud as punch for our boys.

Next few years are gonna be really exciting.

Ratts is finding it hard to hide his glee.

Have to say get him a great assistant coach but after the last two games Ratts is looking like the man!

I agree. As much resources as much possible needs to be thrown at the coaching department over the short term now that it is very clear that we have the list which is capable of winning a flag sooner rather than later. No stone should remain unturned in trying to get the best in personnel to the club.

Against Melbourne ..... Yes, we should win but treat them with respect. We can't afford the 'we only need to show up' mentality. I'd love to finish 4th but those little ducks need to line up correctly.
