hey guys, For some reason l cant see talking players on this website, so sorry for posting here. Can anyone give an update on how Robbie Warnock is progressing? Has he played VFL? Hows he gone? One reason we smashed Geelongs Midfield was because we were getting the hitouts. We need the big fella out there come finals time anyone please update. cheers |

Going on 206.1 after foot injuries have seen him grow an extra mm of fungus on his previously injured foot. Other than that I can't help sorry. |

Talking player was great until people kept banging on about players they didn't like and then howled down anyone who posted anything positive about them. Looking forward to seeing the tall one in action against Melbourne in Rnd 21, me thinks |

im less fantic than others in trying to get him on the park come finals time. . He hasn't played in 18months nearly and i personally cant say i've seen enough to warrant giving kreuzer or hammer the ass after they've both been superb all year getting us to the 8. . . 206 is a long term prospect imo, and what he'd offer atm surely isnt better than hammer's increased blossoming. |

I think the attraction of getting 206 in the team is more to do with sending Kruezer forward than giving Hammer the boot. I wouldn't be shocked to see he/jacobs get a run against the dees to see how a Fev/Krueze forward line can function just in time for finals ![]() |

I'm not too frantic to see Warnock out there either . Hasn't played for a long time , and is not exactly setting the Ants alight . Out of our 4 ruckmen he'd be running a distant 4th at this stage . See what he's like in 2010 after a full pre-season . ( If he doesn't break down again of course ) . |

Warnock will be Carlton's No 1 ruckman; no doubt. He has all the goods: height, speed, stamina, athleticism, marking and good skills by hand and foot on both sides of the body. He will be given every chance to get his engine up to AFL standard in the next few weeks. He hasn't just been sitting around whilst he hasn't been running. He's been on the scooter, on the weights, in the pool and in the last month jogging. He's only had 2 Ants games and he huffs and he puffs because he's busting his balls. He will reach that breakthrough point where his stamina will enable him to apply himself to at least 60% game time. That's enough to rotate with Hammer in the guts whilst Kreuzer goes forward. I reckon that's the plan. It may not happen, but don'y write off Warnock for 2009 just yet. My guess is that Warnock and Jamison will be handled carefully and preferred to be in our 22 come finals. I think Walker has been given the same treatment and will only get better with game time. Jamo needs to rest his groin, Warnock just has to get his fitness up (and he's capable of that too). The word is Warnock is improving on a daily basis and that's a good sign. There's 3 weeks before finals and 3 games left. Anything can happen. |

.. ..well, Jamo's gonna wanna get a wriggle on, he's missed a fair bit of footy now, and when he's fit to play he'll need a couple of games in the ressies to 'catch up'.. |

IMO, this whole theory of playing a scratch match with the ressies to 'catch up' is garbage - especially for Jamo. He's played 13 games this year... If he's not fit, he doesn't play anywhere. If he is fit, he plays in the ones. There's no benefit to playing a key defender in the ressies two/three weeks out from finals football. The gap is too great. Who in the VFL is as good as Roghie/Franklin, Bradshaw/Brown, Treadrea, Riewoldt/Kossie/Milne? What team has the forward structure that those sides have? What about the Doggies, Geelong and Collingwood? |
