Only con I can think of is poor kicking for goal. Oh, and that we only play like this against teams we're expected to lose to, going for careful footy against teams far worse than us. |

Pros Great win but special mention to the much maligned players below: Jordan Russell - did some wonderful work, great marks, tough at the contest and had the confidence to run and take them on! Well done lad! Richard Hadley - some of his inside work was fantastic, especially when the game was there to win in the last quarter. Brett Thornton - have been critical of him in the past but has had a fantastic last couple of games, a real leader there tonight. Stevo did what he had to do and was hard at it. Scotto - much better, could be coming in for some good form, we need him firing. And... AJ. Now how good is the lad from the Tassie west coast going to be? AJ's goal in the last quarter was gem! Ratts had a good night in the box. Cons Foot skills - yikes! Fev's inaccuracy. Not much else! Go Blues! |

This post should be renamed to "Pros: Round 17" We beat Geelong, we are playing finals.. THERE ARE NO CONS!!! Bravo AJ, JR, T-Bird...best defensive effort in the last 7 years..kept Geelong goalless in the last!! Gibbs showed the world that as good as Selwood is, we have a player every bit as good.. |

Pros: Best win against quality opposition in a long long time. Simmo, Gibbs, Judd, team effort. Tactics...coaches box got it right tonight and backed our guys in. Walks gets through another game....he is our wildcard in the finals series.... Cons: Zilch!!! |

PROS -Simpson -Hadley !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When he's on, BOY is he on !!!!!!!!!! -Murphy -Judd -Kreuzer -Setanta: still the crazy bumbling Irishman, but made things happen -Robinson: Doesn't always keep possession, but goes in hard -Hampson: Finally dominated, although maybe said more about how crap their rucks were tonight. still, good effort -Bower: Fist Fist Fist!!! -Stevens -AJ !!!!!! -Gibbs -Wiggins: Came in while out of form, and while he had an average match skill-wise, was able to organize the team a lot when the chips were down = leadership! -kick-ins were (slightly) improved.... but I dodn't think the Cats were pressuring us as hard as they should have been -Thornton: Still the same old stuff ups, but less of them, and many more marks -Defended comfortably without Waite OR Jammo !!! CONS -Fev: still not kicking as well as he could -The team still kicks to Eddie on the lead as if they are kicking to someone of Kreuzer's height -Handballs still being sprayed -Armfield: tries so damn hard, and does effect good pressure, but still doesn't quite look like a competent AFL player But really, each of the Pros was worth TEN times as much as each con WHAT A GREAT MATCH LET'S PLAY LIKE THAT EVERY WEEK !!!!!!!!!!! |
