I had some time to reflect on the season so far and I think that there are Carlton are bipolar this season. One good  and one bad  !

The good Carlton is disciplined, has a wide range of contributors  , players sticking with their assigned roles  , players running hard when we have the ball and when we don't  and sure disposal (if not entirely accurate) :sly: . The good Carlton played:

Round 1 v Richmond (won well)
Round 2 v Brisbane (won)
Round 5 v Western Bulldogs (won)
Round 6 v Hawthorn (lost narrowly)
Round 11 v Brisbane (won)
Round 12 v St Kilda (lost narrowly)
Round 15 v Richmond (won)
Round 16 v Sydney (won)
Round 19 v Geelong (won well)

The bad Carlton is undisciplined (e.g. extra goals to Essendon* and Fremantle) , argumentative (with umpires and each other) :fight: , unskillful (especially field and goal kicking) :yikes: , 'cheating' (trying to get cheap handballs), no hard running and confused (either not understanding the gameplan or lack of gameplan) .

Bad Carlton played:

Round 3 v Essendon* (lost narrowly) - especially first quarter
Round 4 v Sydney (lost)
Round 7 v Fremantle (lost - OMG)
Round 9 v Adelaide (lost badly) - although Ratts took the fall for this
Round 13 v Essendon* (lost badly) - especially after half time :donk:
Round 14 v Fremantle (won)
Round 17 v Collingwood (lost badly) - this game is the poster-child for Bad Carlton :banghead:
Round 18 v North Melbourne (won narrowly)

Rounds 8 & 10 were wins but we were Good Carlton at times and Bad Carlton at other times

Good Carlton takes the game up to any opposition (Hawthorn/St Kilda) while Bad Carlton falls over the line with some luck or a poor finishing opposition (Freo/Nth).

Port Adelaide are the same. Let's hope that either the Good Carlton come to play (or the Bad Port) next week  .

totally agree TwinOne, also think this good carlton / bad carlton is closely linked with good fev / bad fev, so here's hoping good fev makes it over to adelaide, because im yet to travel interstate and witness a win!! so hopefully this is the one!!
