What did he have to say for himself?

One thing he mentioned was the lack of a physically imposing player amongst the group who the opposition are wary of.
Said they're working hard with the Melbourne Storm tackling coach to try to increase their physical impact on the opposition.

Great to hear Gibbs, but as for Mark Robinson- what a self important windbag. I'm sure Bryce really needs "Robbo" to tell him what footy is all about.

Yay - a tackling coach from the NRL! He can teach us how to tackle blokes who can't side-step at AFL standard and then drive them into the ground to concede a free...

I think the Turd said we play St Kilda again. His research for a journalist is deplorable. (But he does work for the HUN)

I checked the draw. Must be a Saturday arvo game at the MCG in September.

Apparently, according to Gibbs, if the players lift their intensity by 50-60%, they'll be at the required level. Either his estimation skills are askew or we are seriously flowered. Usually they say a 5-10% drop off in intensity means a loss if the oppositon are playing to their expectation. Seriously, if some posters on this site cannot see a direct correllation between insipid, low intensity output performances and structural issues over the last weeks, they need to go and join the umpiring fraternity....or sorierity. And yes, I know we beat some ordinary sides YIPPEE!!! in that time, but go and look a tape of the Freo, Rich and SS 1st half. Add to that the Coll and last nights game.

Relax. Everyone on here agrees we are not playing well. The coaches know we are not playing well and the players know we are not playing well.

So we're 10-8....Not playing well and still looking at playing finals ( be it one or two )

I'd take that for 2009 and look forward to 2010...When we are playing well .

Are you serious????? Did you just say that if I get all wound up it will make all the difference in 2010????? OK, let me throw out the , "I can relax now" gameplan and institute the "I'll get all wound up" gameplan. It's worked for Ratts 10 times out of 18 times
