Have to say I'm disappointed he hasn't held a consistent role for Carlton this year.

Showed some great signs last year with his cool temperement/no nonsense and solid style of play.

Put in a shocker in R13 against the bombers and has seemingly been banished

Things haven't gone well for him this year ...limited opportunities ...stalled in development?? ...

I saw the need of Hadley last night in the midfield contest, but I couldn't help but think about his lack of pace and disposal efficiency being a liability. The name Browne popped up and I was wondering why he couldn't play the Hadley role.

I dont know why a Browne, or a Joe Anderson, or a Jordan Russel, or a Shaun Grigg, or Hartlett-- surely one of these guys can turn into an absolute A grader?
Many of them were highly rated as youngsters? Where's our next absolute gun going to come from that isnt judd or #1?
It really is quite worrying how these guys are still fringe players when many of them clearly have talent...
So far they all look to be, at their optimum, B graders at best... why cant we push all of these guys to work themselves into being absolute A graders? Why isnt our development setting THAT as a standard, and not to be another good ordinary player (of which we have a lot of.)

Not a defender or a true inside ball winner. Has a role in the future forward of half-back. Can play in plenty of the midfield spots and will feature along with O'Keeffe, Robinson and Yarran as others retire/are phased out.

..what's his position..?.. ..i kinda saw him as a bp or an inside mid to be honest.. ..don't think he's fast enough to be a line breaker, and he plays very composed footy, so i kinda saw him being good in tight, confined spaces such as the guts, he seems to be good in traffic, not given over to panicing.. ..and he goes in hard enough and scraps for the ball.. ..from what i've noticed..

I think he can fill a hole in any of the midfield spots, but playing inside he would get shoved around a bit.

He's defensive enough as a midfielder, and might be ok off half-back... but I prefer him in a role forward of the back line.

..defensive HFF..?..

Or wing, or centre, or rover...

Just don't expect him to feed the ball out to other mids 10 times a game.
