I went onto the Carlton website to see if they had updated the site so that there is:

a) a mention of what years Carlton has won premierships

b) an updated record so that 2005 wizard cup victory is acknowledged.

I don't know about you but i would like their history section to have an area that is easy to access. Is there an area where this information is provided?

Carlton - premierships 1906-1908, 14,15,38,45,47,68,70,72 etc

Carlton - pre-season/night premiers: 1983, 1997, 2005 etc

Why haven't the player records been updated for their honours ?

ie Fevola

2004 leading goalkicker etc
2005 pre-season premiership
2005 michael tuck medalist

Some of you people are raving about Liverpool's win in the soccer and i have noticed they have updated their records on their website- why can't we?

Is it because the AFL that has control of websites and they haven't acknowledged Carlton's win in that grand final yet?

Are they hoping to take more draft picks away first before they update the site?...

It is interesting to see what crowds Carlton has attracted despite being such a crap team in the home and away (to date)... The AFL must be realising it has cost them heaps of dollars, cash, mullah, green stuff etc.. by hitting Carlton so hard.

Imagine the bigger crowds / interest they would have in their comp. with a strong Carlton team. More money, more gate, more sponsorship, more football records sold. The whole lot.

Even Demetriou must realise he has made a mistake if he looks back on that decision with a few years hindsight.

Cut one's nose off to spite their face... reminds me of the AFL. Big, big mistake to hit carlton that hard...... no wonder Essendon* got off their breaches with a slap on the wrist.

molsey will probably reply but I will put in my two cents worth

The resources that are being put into the website are being stretched to the max at the moment.

Guys that are not really experience in running websites are being asked to do the job on top of their real job. Which is Carlton Communications.

For the last 6-7 months the CFC website has been no.1 in the AFL.

No mean feat that.

Bloody great effort, thanks to contributors such as the ghost and mike and dan.

The internet rights will be sorted out at the end of this year.

I am sure you will see a better overall product next year.

More resources = better site.

Fair enough point Jarusa.

Don't get me wrong. I love the site. I go onto carltonfc every day, but it does irk me that there is no update on the players files etc.

Is the AFL responsible for doing this? and is it because they have diverted funds to the James Hird appreciation society that they haven't updated this glaring omission.

While I am yaking... when is Walls going to write an article on a carlton player to fire them up? He seems to love supporting pavlich, Essendon* players etc - when Carlton?

BLAME THE AFL!!!

Once more recources are put in (hint hint pick ME) then the website can be updated to a standard the 'NORMAL' supporter can expect.
