going through the rest of the fixture we can olnly win another 3 or 4 games

sydney (TD) -maybe
Lions (away) -loss
bulldogs (TD) -loss
eagles (away) -massive loss
saints (TD) -loss
freo (MCG) -maybe
hawks (MCG) -loss
tigers (TD) -maybe
port (MCG) -loss
pies (MCG) -loss
Bombers (MCG) -loss
kangas (TD) -loss

Diesel said on 3AW that we have done well if we win 6 games so do any of you feel after the break should Dennis only play those with a future at the club or should he just field our best team because its hurts to say this but we need the number 1 and 2 picks so playing the younger kids like Russel, Hartlett, Walks, Betts, Wiggins, Sporn and Setanta this could help secure those picks.

Looking at that list, the only games we probably have little to no chance of winning are West Coast away and St. Kilda if they have a full-strength side. The other games we have to be SOME chance in, I don't know how many we'll win but we're at least a shot. By the way, the Lions game is at Telstra Dome, you might want to check your fixture.

I think we're a legitamate chance against the Lions, the Dogs, the Bombers, the Hawks and the Pies.

If we win exactly half of those games I'll be happy

Not sure that we are that far behind hawthorn collingwood or Essendon* to be so categorical about losing
We beat hawthorn without fevola and after 6 day break coming back from subiaco - should have beaten collingwood the first time round and beat Essendon* as well
We wont start favourites next week but swans are not that flash and not sure brisbane are playing so well that we havent got a chance in 2 weeks time.
We havent got enough talent to generally go with good teams but whilst we dont have perhaps as talented list as most some of the others hawthorn Essendon* collingwood for example arent much better and if they dont play to their capacity we could beat them

I think Carlton might click for the 2nd half of the year. This isnt like 2003 when I boldly (but rightfully thank god) predicted after the Melbourne game they wont win again.

I think Carlton can be better than what they are serving up. If they get it right, they can win another 6 - 8 games.

If not, then they won't win another one.

Next week vs Sydney will tell the tale, and I'm putting money on Carlton to do it. Let's pray to god I'm right

why would you wan us to click we are so far off the mark its not funny we have a poor list, no young guns to come through. This list has to be rebuilt

I think nothing has happend in the last 10 weeks that can give you any basis for saying we can win 6-8 more games. We had almost a full strength side on the park today, and we can't even say Livo was underdone cause he played a blinder. We make every team we play look like a better side. I won't say we won't win another game, but if we win more than 3 more I will be dead set shocked.

Yeah I know what you're saying guys but I just think that things might turn around. It's not like in 2003 when you deliberately saw people not trying at all.

This year people ARE trying but something just isnt working.

I have a feeling that *something* might come and if it does come, it will be in the next 1 - 3 weeks. If theres still nothing then, I'll concede that they won't win again for the year.

bb, I see what you're saying, that basically we should play the priority picks into our favour, but I just dont like the idea of not going out there to win the game if its there to be won.
