Ok so i think we can now look at forward line structure on Friday night and say that we went in with Fisher as a 2nd lead up forward and it didn't work and unfortunately for Fish it seems as if though the game has passed him by. Why we went in with so few forward options is beyond me but i thought we should look at our 2nd and 3rd tall options bcoz we need a plan B and C for when Fev doesn't fire either bcoz he is beaten or lost interest in the game. Cloke - Kicked 6 in the 2nds this week and works very hard with what he has. Bigger the Fish, Good Overhead and pus everything into it. Weaknesses is slow by foot and not great below the knees but can kick well. Better kick than Fisher and at this point in time a better option. Wiggins - Lead up forward works hard throws himself in obvious weaknesses is that he is average by foot and realisitically cannot be apart of a premiership side. Setanta - I think people have really overlooked his importance to our side. He was our most potent forward before he got injured and really looked like taking the next step. Has now become crucial to our setup and gives us another genuine option going forward. In the 2nd and 3rd quarters against collingwood we had plenty of it but butchered the ball going inside 50 alot of that had to do we the fact Fev was covered and we didnt have another competive option and the ball just kept coming out. Irish is massive to out structure now. Edwards - Looks to be done at the as still cant break in to the side. Solid hands above his head and a remember Fev saying Jake had the best hands at the club last year but lacks impact and speed. Would give him 1 more years we have given worse players more time. Which leads us into.. Hartlett - What a waste of time this guy has been. Luckiest footballer to still be on an AFL list?? Hasn't shown anything to warrant the clubs faith in him. Had more than enough chances. Fisher - Slow, terrible below his knees just a shame as he had alot of potential but injuries and the game itself seems to have passed him by. Kreuze - obvious choice as a CHF if Warnock was ready to go... Ideally our forward line structure should be FF - Fev 2nd tall/CHF - Kreuzer 3rd tall - Setanta Smalls - Betts/Yaz/Gartlett Imagine the choices the Judd and co would have when running towards our forward 50? I think the Fev/Kreuze/Irish combo with our smalls at their feet could be very dangerous once up and going this year and heading towards Finals i think we have no choice but to give that Forward structure some time to develop heading into finals. Its not all doom and gloom and hopefully Ratten can work it out and stop wasting time meddling around with stupid ideas that have cost us games this year. |

I would have Waite as our CHF and Kreuz as an extra in the forward line when not in the ruck. My forward line would be: Walker Waite Betts Setanta Fev Yarran The great thing about Waite and Setanta is that they can go to defence when needed. Obviously this is for 2010 |

Waite is the obvious choice but didnt use him because wont play a futher part this season. However i'd still look a developing Kreuzer as a CHF because he would be a nightmare for oppostion clubs to match up on. I play waite as a Utiliy throw him wherever needed no need to bog him down in one spot when he can play everwhere |

Fev, Waite and O'Hailpin as our 3 tall's in 2010 sounds mighty fine. The only problem with Waite is i think he gets lost playing as a forward, he plays his best footy when he is set a task. Maybe he has matured more and will become a dangerous key forward. Our problem is hit up targets going forward. A Monfries/Medhurst type that keep offering strong leads and hit up targets. Wiggo played this role brilliantly in the first few rounds. They've tried this with JR and it didn't work. I have to say that little Nahas looks the goods. We passed on him for Garlett....... i'd say Nahas has taken points. |

Nahas has but he is a couple of years older than Garlett. I would bring Wiggins in based on his game yesterday - forget Cloke kicking 6, Wiggins workrate was huge. Unfortunately he is the best option at the moment. Teague praised him at 3qtr time saying he was the only one prepared to lead up while others were standing still. |

Jurrah has been better than both of them and will be a STAR... and we passed on him and picked Tiller. |

What i do know is that Jurrah is magic and will be electrifying at Melbourne for the next 10. These things happen Jurrah could be as good as any player picked in the Draft this year and was overlooked by alot of clubs not just Carlton. Some people are far too precious. ![]() |

They will be a gun side but not in a year or two. When Watts anf the blokes they pick up this year are 24 they will be up there. |

They're not that bad and have plenty of talent on that list already to push up the ladder |

..nahh, dee's are still a few years away.. ..bruce and green are approachin' 30ish i think, their captain in mcdonald hasn't got long to go, robbo's on his way out.. ..will be short on experience, players like miller are duds.. ..their good players like maloney and rivers missed alot of footy and are injury prone, question marks still about sylvia's maturity, though he's improved this year.. ..players like watts and blease still at school, so will be slow to come on [few years].. ..need another 2 yrs i reckon to cracks finals.. ..they have got the makings of a future good side, will depend on who's coaching them once bailey gets spat out.. |

Even freak teams like Hawks last year had that. Its not as easy as some on here make it sound. Clubs know though. Patience is key. |

Think they will move up the ladder and will upset a few teams in 2010 |
