I'm not sure what it is, but I think that Carlton are going to get over the Swans next week.

I've been as much of a doom and gloom naysayer in recent weeks as anyone.

And yet, just when you think that might continue, I somehow have a gut feeling that I should go and put some cash on the Blues for next week.

I get the feeling next week the team will click and begin to play some football which wins a game from the word go. Whether that continues the following week who knows but I think at least for next week, the chorus will be loud and boisterous so much that I can hear it from the office at QV.

Anyone else have that same inkling that something great is going to happen at the TD next week?? :) :)

Don't start talking about winning games. You might upset a few people around here.

I am more confident of beating the Lions than I am of beating the Swans.

Just don't get too down when the Blues fail to deliver your 'gut feeling'.

I can't see where a win will come from at the moment...

Its back to 2002/2003.

You know they will win a game or 2 here and there, you just can't say when or where. and when they do win its an empty feeling because you know the short to medium term future is very grim.
They deserve to go in as underdogs in every game for the rest of the season. but will scrap a win or 2.

But, but a win is a loss and a loss is a win unless Essendon* wins or Collingwood wins, then they are wins, but if we beat them then we lose and they win and a draw is as good as a win, which means a loss, I think, and losers are winners and winners are losers and to be a winner you must want to lose and if you want to lose you have a winning mentality and when we next win we'll lose unless we haven't won enough and then we can win and win but if we have won too much then we'll win and lose and keep losing even if we do win until we stop winning and start losing then we'll start winning except the AFL will stop all losing winning and winning losing by removing the winning PP from the losers.

Hey i think i understand it now.

heads I do, tails I don't - course if heads turns up that really means tails and tails is heads, or some such thing.

danny, i think what you're saying is that it's gonna go to a penalty shoot-out.

Can't believe 10 have chosen this game over Rich-West Coast.

It's easier for them: They HAVE to play the match live into Sydney, so they may as well play it in the other markets too.

Don't know about this game as our friend Robert Walls started to bag the swans during the last qrt, Bagging Paul Roos on his coaching style.......
Expect something in the papers this week...

If there's a team playing uglier than us at the moment, it's the Swans. I expect this game to be one of the ugliest games of the season.

But i hope we win this one, from a selfish point of view just so that I can stick it up my Sydney supporting friends up here.

We should beat the Swans if we start playing now a week before they turn up

Can we kick enough goals to beat their 8 from this round? That's the same total we scored against the Crows and I can only see Waite and perhaps Betts in addition to Fev, as players capable of kicking multiple goals. O'loughlin and Goodes are 2 players that are capable of kicking more goals and I don't want to know who Teague will take.
It will be a great game to see how much Livo has improved when he lines up on Hall and whether he is a gorilla we need down back. If French misses again Jolly and Ball will create a lot of problems like Hudson and Biglands did today. We don't have a Gehrig/Riewoldt combination to stretch this defence and Barry can hold Fev with a flood to block his leads.
The Swans struggled to match the Saints pace and Carlton are as slow as the Swans, yet lack the hard bodies the Swans have on the ball. I think the Swans will find a way to win again with Carlton lacking enough goalkickers.
