Needed to vent. Just wish we didn't move our home game v Fremantle to the Gold Coast earlier this year. Just so sure we wouldn't have lost in Melb - really 4 points p#ssed down the toilet for a few extra $$$. I know we still should of beaten them but -GEEZ!!! 40 points instead of 36 right now makes a hell of a difference....

Do we deserve to be in the top four if we can't beat Fremantle (the bottom side) up on the Gold Coast..?

Did we deserve to be Premiers in 1995 when we couldnt beat Sydney or St Kilda?

MY OATH WE DID

Good teams lose to dud teams and dud teams sometimes beat good teams. Sometimes good teams play like dud teams and sometimes dud teams play like good teams but generally only for shorter period of time and even then they may not beat good teams.

FFS One game doesnt make a year not determine where you fit.

CJ3V.... it was my biggest fear back in November or whenever it was that the draw was released. it angered me even more than the fact that we were 'selling' the game, the fact that we were going neutral. You never give a sucker an even break and it's exactly what we did. ridiculous decision in search of a quick buck. another 6 weeks until we know just how costly that decision was.

i know how much it cost. . It cost $400,000 we wouldnt have made if playing them in victoria. We'd probably have lost money!

Not only that, but playing in that area, with marquee names like judd and fevola etc means neutral fans getting into the sport with talk of a new team in town may sign up as members etc. . .

We should have beaten them anyway. . Nothing wrong at all with moving the game. . Its our own fault for not winning. . We'll make the 8 still. . Life goes on

i had this argument a long time ago. not going into it again. no point. I think it was dumb and it cost us 4 points. you think it was great cos we got 400k for it and some exposure to a market that couldn't give a rats arse about us. I'd still prefer the 4 points

fair enough. . But had we played as poorly in melbourne they'd have beaten us too IMO. . .

Not an excuse.

We should have beaten them anywhere, but it was a pathetic performance.

Yes but, if (and I know I hate that word), that games costs us the chance of playing in 2 finals over 1 or even 1 over none - how much does that cost the club in experience, exposure and dollars... anyway, I understand, I know regardless where we played them and all that but

Also get the feeling that if we win on Friday every other result falls our way. We loose and look out, every result that we want to go one way will go the other. Come on Blues....

Lucky Freo didn't move their Rnd 14 match... they'd have the $400k and we'd be short another 4 points!

Also If Fev Kicked Straight against Hawthorn and if Ratten tagged Lovet in R3 and if Houlihan kicked that goal against St Kilda then we would be 3rd on the ladder and eyeing off second place when we play Geelong

we should have taken the $400,000 AND the 4 points that night. we didn't. we've lost matches in melbourne too.

You'd think some people must have:

a) had a lazy $100,000.00 on Carlton to beat Freo on the Gold Coast; and/or
b) had a lazy $100,000.00 on Carlton making the top four in 2009; and/or
c) had a lazy $100,000.00 on Carlton winning the flag in 2009.
