The gist of it is that Walls believes both of them should be traded while Lyon believes that Fev should be kept and Lance shold be traded.

I think Lance will find a new club and a coach like Sheedy would love the challenge and think they can turn him into a player again. He did take Murphy and Allan who would have both been written off as players but have played more games than Carlton would have liked.

i reckon there'd be a few clubs out there who would love to have lance as their 3rd forward.

should we try and shop him around again, the problem for us IMHO is not that no-one would want him, it's that no-one would give us what WE want.

While I do believe Setanta will make it, I wouldn't hang my hat on him just yet.

get rid of Whitnall, and give Fevola enough to make him stay.

Fevola HAS to stay. Who else is going to play there? Setanta as first choice? Wishful thinking. His potential to rise as a star of the AFL is but a pipedream at the minute.

Whitnall and DeLuca are both no good for this team for their own reasons, DeLuca should be sent back to the VFL but Whitnall probably would kick our pants off at another club, such is the way things tend to happen at Carlton.

Carlton's problems are bigger than Lance Whitnall.

you take Fevola out of the team and Carlton fans have absolutely nothing to hang their hat on (not that they have much anyway).
He must stay, get rid of Whitnall and Camporeale if it takes that much for him to stay.

Whatever Fevola wants, within reason, we should pay him. He is a genuine star and we have to keep him.

Lance is certainly not the problem at the moment and was ok again today.

Fev would attract interest, no doubt, but I can't really see Lance doing so.

Blues2005 I agree completely. Fev is our one and only matchwinner, why anyone would want to see him go is beyond me. Played a great defensive game today and kept us in it all day. He was also fantastic 2 weeks ago against the Cats.

With Lance, if we had the luxury of playing him in one position for a whole match I think our opinions would of him would be quite different.

If you trade Fevola, you might as well close down this website for the next four years and not ask supporters to by memberships. Footy is about winning games not creating a culture of mediocrity. By all means look to the future and play kids but we have one geniune matchwinner, who bleeds blue and makes our kids stand a little taller and you all want to ship him off. If today showed anything, we need to build a team around him. We are not as far off the pace as everyone is suggesting. We have a quality CHB and FF in Thornton and Fev and we have Livo finally starting to show signs. If Waite can develop his frame to suit the CHF position and we can get Hartlett to be another key position target you start to have the makings of a good spine. We need another ruckman and Walker to develop into a Kouta type. Blokes like Walls and Lyon are paid in the media to be controversial but in no way be fooled to think they have the best interests of the club at heart. It's a shame to see so many get sucked into their nonsense!

He´d be closer to his fat farm, isn´t that up that way somewhere ... less travel involved.

Low blow.

Would hate to see Fev go but if we got 2 first round picks for him?? The footy show made me worry about him, hope he´s not trying to hold the blues to ransom.

Lance - he´s the sort of player that´d be solid with a good team around him. Cant be relied upon as a match-winner but as a secondary targety or backline sweeper for a side he could be ok, brings others into the play. Sheedy seems to like our cast-offs. Once again I´d rather keep him at a lower price than see him go for a 3rd round pick, depends on the deal.

Although I'm open to all offers, I believe keeping Fevola should be our first priority. He's maturing with every game and will become a consistant 70+ goalkicker with the right midfield.
From the article...
Quote:
It is believed Fevola's asking price could be about $350,000 with an added marketing component of $100,000.

I can live with signing him up for between 300-400k

Lance - Does he have any trade value? The bulldogs might be interested but I think were asking too much for a first round pick / Whitnall trade. Worst case scenario he remains at Carlton on a reduced contract

campo has one or two years left in him...maybe 3...why would he move..??

agree with the fev comments... the supporter base would be shot if fev left...i just couldnt imagine life without him in the navy blue top....i guess id change my nickname to somethin else....like Electric Ed....

lance would slide straight into Port Adelaide, Adelaide, Brisbane, Collingwood, West Coast, Freo maybe, and even Bulldogs...Essendon* another possibilty...
