The guys on 3AW's sports tonight program said whispers had got hold of information that Ratten had been called to a board meeting today to which Ratts replied "i've kept me job, you wouldn't believe it" Ratten said he attended a 'scheduled' board meeting today and was asked to put a report to that board and have a chat.......

Anyways here's what he was asked and said

GH: What was the report at half time
BR: To get our hand son the footy. They almost doubled our possessions (again dropping stats) he said we were chasing them big time.

GH: Why weren't you getting the footy, it seemed the Goodes/Gibbs match up was causing you concern
BR: Tactically they were trying to drag Thornton away, we had Gibbs on Goodes but he thought all 3 had no impact early. Where ar Ted Richards as a spare did and tried to make it harder for him to have an impact through Kroozer

NB: At half time you weren't getting the ball through the middle and defensively there structure was worrying us there scoring efficiency was higher and scoring often,
BR: Our work rate between the arcs was really down, everything was almost doubled and when we got that balance right and our work around the stoppages and in the bubble increased we went on our way.

NB: Allot of focus of the likes of Judd, Murph and Gibbs but Kade Simpson is your hardest runner and a consistent hard worker
BR: Kade is a very good player and gives us plenty of drive. He only had 8 possessions but it was his hard work that got us into the game

GH: in 2010 how much do you see Warnock being your number 1 ruckman and Kroozer being a forward and helping Fev out?
BR: It be great to have another ruckman and Jacobs has played his first game back. We've been limited to put Kroozer forward but on the weekend we seen glimpses of what he can do and go forward and change a game

GH: You looking forward to the friday night game
BR: Looking forward to the challenge against Collingwood it be great to go up against a good team who been in good form

NB: You have to coach your side against some trends the other way, you've had a good record against collingwood lately.
BR: Collingwood are playing a bit different from when we last played them, we have to worry about what we have to do. The start of the year we talked about finals but now we are taking week at a time

GH: Will nick stevens be back in the team friday night
BR: Um that will be up for debate at MC, he put in a good effort on the weekend but no answer on that one

NB: Walker?
BR: Nah he will play in the two's again. He had about 25 possessions, we don't have to worry about his fitness its more about the confidence in the shoulder.

Mixed messages regarding Stevens.. Icke on Sportal suggesting Steven's is back with the Ants, but Ratts doesn't seem so sure.

I hope Stevens gets fit again and becomes a real asset for the club soon, but it shouldn't be this week. The club made a statement and should hold to it, demanding that Stevens not only get fitter but really put in on the ground. Hopefully he can, as we he is up and going well, he really does add some class to our side.

Nice work Melvey, thanks for that.

I thought Ratts made some good moves after half time, and is improving every week just like the players.

Thanks Melvey.

But leave the sensationalist headlines for the Hun (for those playing at home I edited the thread title last night, to something, well, a little more balanced).
