Bannister's dad just called ABC radio to tell the audience that his son is pissed off that he's not being played in his best position (CHF!) and he'll be leaving the blues to hopefully play at Collingwood next season! Seriously. |

NOW I'VE HEARD EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!! Perhaps, if Collingwood are generous, they'll swap us a pile of Victoria Park dirt for him. |

I doubt he'll be given any choice in that. |

Just further to that, the on-air team at the time included Mark McClure who tried to be diplomatic, suggesting to Jordan's dad that his son was lucky to be playing AFL football at all, given how many kids don't get the chance. Once his dad was off air, both McClure and Alves suggested that perhaps it wasn't the wisest thing for a player's dad to be calling radio stations with this sort of stuff, and opined that Jordan would be devastated to hear that sort of thing. One of the strangest thing's I've ever heard in a post-match talkback segment. Oh - his dad also intimated that he'd being speaking with Collingwood (he used to play reserves for them) and that they'd have him. |

Pheonix, I'm not bullshitting. I suspect there'll be something on it in the papers tomorrow if you're looking for confirmation. Why do you think I'd lie about something like this? |

Why do you think I'd lie about something like this? Yeah sorry about that. Was before I had read your second post. Interesting news by the way. |

![]() Devasting loss to the Bullants if Jordan Bannister leaves ![]() As if he would be a better player at Collingwood anyway. Also, it's not like he would be able to play CHF there anyway. And another thing, why does he think he is a CHF?!?!?! You know what would be really funny?!?! If Collingwood didn't want him at all. He'd be left in limbo as Carlton would most certainly not take him back afte this revelation. |

Collingwood can have the promising young KP for their first DP. Quality for quality, seems fair to me. |

This thread is interesting in a couple of ways, but one being that it shows how few people listen to ABC football coverage ![]() |

His dad says he has a good leap. I know... I know... but I'm just reporting what his old man said. |

Someone posted something very similar on the Carlton board of Bigfooty a few weeks back. It suggested that we should definately play Bannister and that his family was very upset that he wasn't playing. From Bannisters game for the Bullants today you can see why he isn't playing seniors. If you can't hit a target in the twos your going to struggle to do the same playing AFL where the pressure on your disposal is far greater. |

I know... I know... but I'm just reporting what his old man said. ![]() There is a bloke in my side who is about 184cm and has an amazing leap on him for someone of his size. According to Mr.Bannister he can also play CHF. What a joke. Something isn't right with this. |

Sounds like 'Footy Dad' syndrome. Thinks his kid is the best player going around. Feel sorry for Jordan. |
