Struggling badly with health problems- almost certainly wont take over as President from Sticks regardless of the outcome of his court proceedings.
Let's all just hope the case gets resolved as quickly as possible so he can bask in the glory of what's been an amazing life.

Thx JK.

Very sad news to hear about Dick's health issues.

I hope the great man can fight this off.

What is he suffering from if I may ask?

Dick Pratt doesn't need any title for everyone to know he is the leader of our club. As someone who has been personally touched by the great work of the Pratt Foundation, I hope he is able to overcome his latest health issues, and soon.

I heard a similar thing a couple of weeks ago...he's not well at all. He has been battling prostate cancer for a number of years now, don't know if there are any other issues.

Radio reports have confirmed he is gravely ill. Sad news, lets hope the team can lift this week for him.

I lost my Grandmother over the weekend to Cancer.

The whole family knew it was coming, and spent as much time with her as we could until the cancer eventually beat her.

She was a tough one and fought it all the way until the end - never thinking of giving up. You often wonder why she fought as hard has she did, given the pain she was experiencing, but she fought on nonetheless.

But, being there with the family to say goodbye to a loved one who you feel so deeply about, watching them deal with such a shitty illness, is just such a tough thing to do.

My heart sympathises with the entrie family Richard Pratt in this tough time.

Thoughts with Dick and the Family. What a guy.

Saved this club and has restored the pride in the jumper.

This pretty much confirms what Josh has said

pratt close to death

Best wishes to the great man and to all people who lose or are losing loved ones to an insiduous illness.

Lets hope the boys can put a smile on his face.

bastard illness.

I don't know much about 'the great beyond' but I think it's fair to say that whatever happens, Dick will live on in the hearts of every Carlton supporter... everyone who's ever had anything to do with the arts... and anyone who was ever lucky enough to know him or work under him.

A great Australian.
