Waite
Walker
Warnock

How important do you think these threee guys will be to our team assuming they can overcome their various ailments? Do they have the capability to change us from a potential top 8-er to top 4 in the next couple of years?

Of course they're important - they're all highly talented players that give us enormous flexibility and x-factor.

If all 3 play, we can add Waite, Walker and Kreuzer to our forward line options. That's when we become a premiership threat :fight:

Don't get your hopes up to much

Warnock has been in the system almost 5 years has only manage 21 games is injury prone and really is an unknown

Walker - has never reached full potential and has almost been out of the game for 2 years with only a handful of games last year - will probably take a long time to adjust to the game again
Cousins is struggling and he is elite

Waite - will have to change his game when he comes back - not many are able to play as there were after a full knee reco - He may go like Kouta and lose his ability to leap - Will take time for Waite to be what he was if he ever gets there

This is why Jarrad's injury makes me sad - knee recos have the possibility of making a player lose a lot of their athleticism, leap and nimbleness and these were all attributes that made Jarrad standout and be so dangerous. And considering his age it couldn't have happened at a worse time

I'm not too worried - confident he'll come back pretty well. He might settle into a permanent forward role at worst. Most players come back well these days.

Very, but I am not sure all 3 will have injury free careers as of 2010 onwards, shame but it's prob the reality.

Walker & Waite will obviously add something, but I can see Warnock causing selection headaches.

We have Jamison, Bower, Austin, Fevola, Setanta, Kreuzer and Hampson in the side currently. All playing good footy. How many more can we play?

One? Who goes for Thornton, Waite & Warnock? Hampson, Setanta (unlucky but they are the athletic projects out of the bunch) and maybe one more?

All signs point to us trading for a young marking option up forward, or packaging a pick to move up and get a good one.

Trading a back to get a forward seems a chance - hope like hell we don't lose Austin, he can really play. Bower and Jamo are safe as houses surely, and Thornton's had a good year - It'd have to be a really good deal to give up any of them.

Does anyone know when Warnock and Walker are a chance to get back?

The offical site says Warnock 4 weeks and Walker 6, but i don't really trust it because it has a history of going from 8 weeks to 3 weeks in the space of 7 days.

Do these sound about right or does anyone who has been to training or with inside information know a little more?

Will come back via Bullants in 4ish weeks.
Warnock will play for Carlton in about 6.

Cheers.

I really want to see Walker back soon, we miss his mongrel and attack at the ball/man.

1) Lets face it, they all won't play at once which is why we have a squad of 40+ players ..............

2) Setanta is a GOOD pinch hitter, but Waite would be out #1 CHF option ATM (esp with our backline coming together without him) and Warnock will release Kreuzer to play as a 3rd tall option. In a FULL strength squad Setanta probably doesn't have a place, but he is a GOOD depth player.

3) Austin (hopefully) won't be going ANYWHERE !!!!!!!!!! With the compremised drafts in years to come he will be invaluable as a KPP which can play back or forward.

I can see our #1 pick going towards a YOUNG KPP forward (either in the draft or a trade for a Tippett quality tall), 2nd pick on a midfielder (in and under manchild would be good), 3rd on a TALL defender capable to one day play on gorilla's/resting ruck, and the rest on tall forward options (how ever many more picks we have).

Here is a reader who knows of Worrell, Weekes and Walcott (in correct order  )
Are they still around?

Warnock - 2 weeks - suggests he'll play Bullants in round 14
Walker 4 weeks - round 16
Jacobs 3 weeks - round 15

Add 2-3 weeks and these boys should be pushing for selection with 4-5 weeks to go, just in time to get match fit for finals.

They could make a difference in the run towards finals. Even if Warnock comes good, it'll be great to have Jacobs in the wings in case of injury to Kreuz or Hammer (or if Hammer drops off).
