| Post subject: | Nominated Mid-Season Rookie Upgrade |
Port Adelaide over here have upgraded Danny Meyer from the Bays to their senior list as their nominated mid-season rookie upgrade. Apparently half way through the year the club can nominate a rookie to be up graded to the senior list even if there are no long term injuries. Have the Blues nominated anyone yet ? How do our Rookies so far come into it i.e Jacobs for Warnock, Bentley for Bentick etc ? Cheers

You would have seen a bit of Meyer SJ - I was semi interested in us rookie-ing him. How does he look? |

due to us not having any veterans we could have 2 nominated rookies which are effectively senior players and can play all 22 games , jamison was one last year this year we went with jacobs and joseph garlett is an LTI elevation and i would have thought would be the shoe in for the mid year upgrade bentley was an LTI elevation but is now back on the rookie list - not sure why - perhaps he was for bentick who is now back in the VFL that is the situation at the moment as far as i know |

At the moment we have a spot open for that and one for Waite, with Garlett elevated for Warnock, who will return in a month. Jacobs and Joseph are nominated rookies. I think the mid-season spot will go to Garlett, and we may look at another bloke to come in if we continue to have issues with our midfield reserves (Ellard, Pfeiffer, Hill). I would say Bentley is something of a bust and won't get a gig any time soon. |

Would be sitting top 5 in the Glenelg B & F so far, very consistent, hard at it, great leap, nice run and good skills. Huge Meyer fan, just sucks he's been demoted..... Would have him at Carlton in a heartbeat. |

Thanks SJ, my Richmond mate reckoned Meyer finally got himself right physically towards the end of 08 and looked really good in the 2s, but must have run out of time. A touch of the Farren Rays maybe? Demoted
