I fear our messianic expectations are massively mislaid for this particular player. The 'tell' is that he looks comfortable with the ball - his kicking action is very fluent, particularly for a ruckman who are generally infamous for dud kicking. but as a ruckman or potential occasional forward I think he's got a long way to go.

Expect less; be happy more!

Should dominate against second string ruckman, and showed whilst at Freo he was capable of getting first hand on the ball and tapping to advantage. Has an amazing tank for a big man, so should be able to cover the ground and play a Dean Cox like role in a season or two. My expectations are high. Should get a date organised for the Brownlow dinner in 2010, should be preparing acceptance speech in 2011.

yeah i think there is going to be a lot of dissapointed people unfortunately

at least 3 years away from being anything near what people are expecting

i would think Hammer would be ahead in what he offers the team at this stage as a ruckman.

What Warnock will do however is free up Kruezer which in itself could be awesome though

I hope everyone gives him time, but I am worried by what I hear from shockers supporters (though it is probably just sour grapes).

Does anyone know if the rumoured attitude problems actually exist? Seems like a good kid to me (but hell, what do I know)

AJ will go down about rd 15, and Warnock will fill his shoes as the afl's number one tagger...

He'll win the lottery and blow the lot on vintage gumball machines and faberge eggs - a dangerous combination. Then he'll get his own sitcom and star in a controversial celebrity porn movie.

There has never been a bad VFL/AFL player whose name has rhymed with cock.
