I think it might be much closer than we think.

Glass will make life difficult for Fev tonight.

I can see the Eagles trying to play a tight contested game giving us no space.

If they hit the score board early or stay with us, they know doubt will creep inside the heads of our players.

If we lose this game we're in BIG trouble, We should win this comfortably but having said that, My gut feeling is that we're going to get toppled, hope I'm wrong.

If the boys don't come out and throw some weight around tonight, we are in trouble.

Hard at the body, hard at the contest. C'mon Blues please start to restore the faith.

Carlton by 32 points.

The theme of tonight's game should be PREASURE AND ATTACK....

Its time our team plays like blood thirsty sharks... Get a sniff and then go in for the kill and dismantle the opposition...

On paper we've got the talent to belt the Eagles, but as we've seen so far this year, talent on paper means sh*t when our gameplan has been reactive rather then proactive...

If ever there's motivation to smash a team into oblivion (after the negative press we;'ve rightly received this week) tonight is it. Ww have to play angry, determined, devistating 4 qtr football (within the rules of course). A win by a small margain, or a brave loss IS UNACCEPTABLE tonight.

In the 'good old days', these were the games where you could guarantee Carlton would smash the opposition into obscurity, but these days, this isnt the case. If we are to regain some sort of respect and fear from other AFL clubs, we have to get back to that old Carlton mentality of burying teams rather then just cruising through games or losing honourably.

We are a much better team then Wet Toast, and we have to show the footy world as much.. We will remain a laughing stock (as we're quickly becoming again) if we dont win..

C'MON BLUES... DON'T LET US DOWN!!!

I agree Melvey.
Glass will make things difficult for Fev plus the Eagles will be fired up after their dismal showing against Collingwood last week.
They are pretty much at full strength and their "bottom six" players are better than ours.

I honestly don't care about the result - I just want to see some direction, some fight and some desire to win the contest and help your teammate.
After last week, we look to be a dispirited, disjointed mob. To me, tonight is more about effort. If we win good, if we don't and this team of ours actually gave a stuff about the game, their team and their club and put in the effort required then I wont be too critical.

And Ratts, please start performing like an AFL coach and getting the best out of these players!

Can't predict the result sorry, still too distraught from what I saw last week

Bower to JK
O'hAilpin to Lynch
AJ to Kerr
Hampson ruck / Kreuzer pushing forward and making Cox accountable
Austin forward...should stretch Spangher or McKenzie

Will still be surprised if Garlett plays - I think he'll come out of the side. Anderson in.

Pretty much sums up my feelings also. Although I want to bloody win and keep our season alive.

Ratts shouldn't be judged on tonight if we win, his test will come next week and winning back to back games.

Stevo out and Joey in? I'd be wondering if Stevo will miss a few weeks if that mail is correct.

Stevo looked ok to me...in fact most of his training sessions have been very good. Jeff Garlett coming out of the race 20 minutes after the main group and not joining in training says something - I just don't know what...20 metre kick to kick with the Bullants coach in the rain?

Hope you're right Doc about Stevo. Without him we will struggle.
Also I hope Anderson plays.....nothing against Garlett however Anderson is now in his 3rd year and needs to be given a good run in the seniors.

I'm tipping at least one fabulous directly relating to a play from Betts tonight.
