A fantastic insight to the lengths we're going to to bring the young guys through.

If this program doesn't 'push the right buttons' with our youngsters then I don't know what will.

Fascinating reading.

Very positive article.
When the redevelopment works are complete our facilities, staff and systems will be at least the equal of any other club in the competition.
Go Blues.

Fantastic

It's remarkable what has been going on behind the scenes.

Attitude and Expectations followed by skills....wow.

Make sure the players' head is in the right space, and the goals are much easier achieved.

I love the way they have indoctrinated the players about Carlton. You can feel that from the CCTV videos with Armfield especially, but also from Gbbs and Russell; it's obvious they know what it means to be a Carltonian.

I can't see anyone wanting to leave this place in a hurry.

Bad luck Ackermanis, you're not welcome to come aboard. Attitude and Expectations need to be realistic.

You know the funniest thing about this post????

It's a fantastic story and a great insight into the new Blues Development structures and yet, so far it has only rated 3 replies from 198 views.

Is that a sad indictment on this Site?

Negative posts relating to Ratts coaching, JR's goal kicking or Houlihans hardness at the footy have hundreds of posts but an article that shows how far the Blues have come since the start of 08 barely raises an eyebrow from the huddled masses.

Sad really.

Great read. It's this kind of program that will play a large part in leading us to long term success.

Heard him on SEN today - spoke really well . Made me smile when he spoke about 'the Kruise'.

Great post Melvs. On Sunday we saw how well he developed Toovey, Cox, Wellingham, Reid, and Wood before he left.

Good to hear. However, we've no doubt got the wrong people doing the wrong things on the wrong days of the week.

Good program. But go easy there Cazzesman - I'd be pissed off if the club wasn't running a program such as this. All the good clubs run something similar, as do many other businesses.

I am impressed that the program is holistic and multi dimensional. Harris is running an excellent program that will reap great rewards, giving our young men every opportunity to be well organised, focused and giving themselves the best chance to be successful.

Well done!

Point may be missed but we not directly involved with the club dont how how different this program is to last years under Teauge and Lappo for a start.

Secondly while he outlines its objectives we have no idea of the quality of content in this program, and how it stacks up against other development programs. The interview talks a lot about concepts but it gave little away in specifics.

It was also mentioned that the program needs to be improved for next year, and while we may have made significant ground on clubs that had developed and evolved such programs years before we looked at it, we may still be in the middle of the pack regarding player development as other clubs have been refining their programs for longer periods.

It all sounds like a big step in the right direction so congrats to the Footy Dept

You can't turn lead into gold, you've just got to dig.... and now, half the posts in here are slanted towards the negative rather than the content of the link.

Oops.

I like Harris, I just didn't like the article. Seemed a bit simpleton after reading Riley's list review earlier on in the year.
