We seemed to have lost a fair bit of intensity in previous weeks. Might be time for Robinson and Hadley to return for a bit more grunt......your thoughts?

Hadley was there on the weekend and added absolutly nothing. We're asking a bit too much for sub-average players. Unfortunately, we only have 3-4 good players at the moment.

Intensity is the difference between 3rd, and 14th this season.

The draft, and salary cap are working because it's a very even competition.

A fit Andrew Walker would be handy

Agree scottee.. but he isnt...

The problem is we had blokes who used to gut run and take off.. not do it as much anymore.

Theyre first instinct is to mark .. stop... look around.. swing into a big circle and chip it twnety metres sideways... cos were holding possession..which is laughable cos the opposition has had time to get organised and swamped back and we end up losing it anyway...

We have to be mindful that when AW comes back that he has almost missed 2 years of football
with only a handful of games in the middle

It will take a fair time for him to adapt

And if your looking for Intencity there is one in Westfield Parramatta - bit noisy for an old folk like me

..intensity is infectious.. ..robbo and garlett along with betts (and fev early on) gave the F50 a real level of intensity, and it spread.. ..and we don't like contested footy.. ..not so much winning the ball, but we waste too much time trying to find a player free at times, when we should back our players to beat their opponent when they're one on one.. ..no team has the skills to maintain continual possession when playing as slow as we do at times..

..as a team i think we're too young/inexperienced to maintain intensity all game, game after game.. ..some players are naturally intense, and others have to work at it.. ..when your team is made up of more players that need to work at it, rather than it coming naturally,, then the team overall will struggle to keep up the intensity..

This was always going to be a down week as far as intensity is concerned. Look how ragged we left Hawthorn for the dons...

I'm more worried about our decision making on Saturday night, factoring in the level of fatigue across the playing group. We made all the necessary moves, resting blokes from full training where required early on in the week, four changes.

More inside 50s, more tackles, more disposals, more marks, overused the handball a bit but our decision making heading into and while in the forward 50 was disgraceful. This thread should be in TalkingStuff; pointless.

Walker, Grigg and Robbo will add some much needed grunt

Walker, Grigg, Robbo, Armfield, AJ and Browne add some much needed grunt

Also Hartts has that mongrel about him. Short fuse. Doesn't mind the rough stuff

Running at half pace Walker would still be in our top 3 or 4...

This is the type of group of hard nuts we really need. We've got too many soft fags in the team at the moment who ski around contests and look for the cheap kick...

The one player who i believe has ZERO intensity is Nick Stevens. I believe his attitude and 'sooky la-la' ways, coupled with his half-assed attacks on the ball or the opposition creates a 'cancer' like effect on the entire team............ more so that Fev's antics.

Ironically, the two games this year that we played with a high level of intensity were in the opening two rounds of the season............ WHEN NICK WASN'T PLAYING!

Just food for thought.

Interesting comparison for the year so far. Yes they are only stats, but interesting non the less.

Intensity with a healthy dose of composure would do me.

we need more intensity and more agro

if there are no pushing and shoving scraps and little biffs this weekend against collingwood i will be pissed off

we for too long have been pushed around and our players targetted and no one runs in to look after them

we need an enforcer to protect juddy and murph

why didnt anyone smack haselby or schammer when they were attacking murphy last week?

poor boy was left to his own devices

The Dockers are a team of snipers.

Murphy was carrying his arm after being slammed into the turf...That's where he injured his thumb.

Peake stopped short to collect Army off the ball and slammed Stevens with the ball within the space of two minutes in third quarter.

No reaction from Carlton.

It's been that way since Kouta just jogged away after Croad knocked out JR...

We need someone steaming through to run through the snipers if they target our ball players.

It's a stop gap solution, but we should bring in Hartlett and Browne.

Setanta will just lose it and isn't the answer.
