Dear Members and Supporters, The Carlton Football Club would like to issue an official apology to all of you. We understand that we misrepresented ourselves and misinformed many people in our latest marketing campaign slogan "They know we're coming". We thought that you would believe the hype and that we could convince you that we were a good side. We sincerely apologise for this mistake. We genuinely thought that we would be good this year and contest the finals, but absolutely nothing has changed - we are still are still a bunch of absolutely soft, shithouse downhill skiiers. Admittedly we do have a couple of good players, but for every superstar there are 5 deadset ****ing flogs weighing them down. Once again we would like to apologise for any confusion and will not be making any other ridiculious claims in the near future. Kind Regards, The Carlton Football Club |

Now your speaking my language. The marketing department have revised the current slogan and come up with a new one for the second half of the year to replace the many VISY trucks and Billboards around melbourne............... 'WE'RE ON THE ROAD TO NOWHERE' |

i dont think it has anything to do with the slogan. The slogan is where we realistically should be . You need to aspire to something. Were totally unplanned in the real stuff. Were playing that way. And we are underpreforming. People think were shit... yeah we are shit .. were shit cos we are totally disorganised. At least the 'Promotion people' conjured up something creative.Unfortunately the best promotion is on the field and thats where our MC ansd coaches have left us undone. Totally unprepared for this modern day football caper!! We need people at the cub that can organise a football team. "Mates" just doesnt cut it these days.. |

I think the slogan has a lot to do with it. I think our communications manager agreeing to have Murph, Gibbs, Judd and Stevens take part in a photo shoot for a article that set us up was a lot to do with it. Somehow we try and paint our selves as being a 'professional club'. Professional clubs don't make mistakes like this Full of hot air and nothing more. |
