The last IC I received was the 2008 yearbook with Gibbo Murph & Krooz on the cover with 'The Sky's The Limit'. It was A4 size.

Very impressive publication.

Only one thing missing: the 2009 draw. But that's not an issue for me.

Dark Navy Blue background is very powerful. I'm not sure what others think, but I'm convinced Dark Navy Blue is the best colour in the world.

The player Profiles are brilliant, and Carlton jnr has his team poster on his wall and he loves it because it has Bettsy, Judd and Fevola.

We have a very very rich history...just want to fix up our win/loss ratio against Port and Fleamantle...and another Flag in the new millenium and... I will plate in Dark Navy Blue and Gold.

Well done to all involved.

The fixture is on the foldout in the middle Bondi...next to the team photo.

I suppose I am in the minority on this but this publication is very disappointing. It is the bare bones minimum. 90% of the content has just been cut and pasted from last year.

I would like to see some proper write ups on each player. There are 6000 coaches these days, surely they could do a couple of players each, just 100-200 words on what is expected this year.

It's sterile. Where is the heart, where is the community. Carlton is a community, these sorts of publications should celebrate the community and record what is happening within it.

You look at the old annual reports and they were a celebration of the Carlton community. A record of everything that happened at the club. I know we have the website and umpteen forums and other information sources, but it would be nice to get a bit more from the club in permanent print.

Good points. Agree. Can only add value.

I went thru mine last night and agree with Jars.

It looks appealing when you get it, but could do with more substantial content - one on one interviews, better insight into the players, insight into the footy dept etc.

Stats on each player is passe and takes up too much space that could be devoted to the above.

Good point. In which case the annual report should be as good as they once were...but they're not. The last couple of annual reports have been no better than your average weekly church bulletin. 'Inside Carlton' is actually very similar to what NHL teams published 20 years ago.

In years gone by the club printed an Annual Report and a Year Book. Interestingly, while Collingwood's annual reports are no better than ours these days - they publish a great Year Book. But I rarely expect much from the Communications department these days.

Very slick mag and well done to the club on that front but let's be honest when you really get into it there's not a hell of a lot of new content there and took just one visit to the loo to read.

If it wasn't for loos I don't think that I would read any magazines.

If they had spent as much time on additional content as they did photoshopping the Malaysia and Optus logos onto the players, we could all find ourselves extending our loo times in order to get through the entire mag.

I actually thought it was poor.

I wanna learn more about the club and the players. I couldn't care how tall they are or how much they weigh. Give us a proper insight about the players and the club something that we haven't read for every other year. A look at the new gym facilities and fitness trainers
