In amongst the commemmorations for Anzac Day in the coming week, the following story provides a nice contrast of a war time Carlton footballer in the weeks leading up, and after, his national call-up:

Harcourt Dowsley only played the 3 games of football for Carlton but was generous with his time and photos for this story.
