Exactly the way I feel about this issue.

The AFL has killed suburban footy and replaced it with something more sterile.

The vararies of the weather, the intimacy, the winter afternoon light across optus oval, the smell of linament, seeing the same folk each week in the same spot. Characters - like Barb, the home ground advantage.

All these things and more are now dead because the AFL chose to kill suburban footy.
