No room for Scotland, Carrazzo being given another week in the twos..........You have to be kidding me!!! Robinson, Joseph, Grigg, Cloke, Johnson, Armfield all in the team, surely Scotland and Carrazzo are better than these guys. If Fev isnt fit rest him, he has been useless the last few weeks. The problem at the moment is that even the coaching staff have been bluffed into believing we are better than we are. 2 Terrible coaching performances in a row where we have not been able to manufacture a real game plan. Still most of the blame must rest with the players they butcher the ball when they get it. Have played bad footy since half time against the Lions. We are playing with no structure and relying on this notion that our midfield will be good enough to get us through, wake up and smell the coffee coaching panel its not woring. Lets regroup quickly and play some good footy again. Go Blues!!! |

The problem is above the shoulders. This group can't perform when they are expected too. They are mentally weak. Don't be suprised if they win next week as no-one will be expecting anything from us. Time and time again this group has faulted when expectation rises. The last 6 years have taken a toll on this playing group. Blame the coach, blame the game plan, blame what ever you like, the simple fact is it's about the past 6 years and what they have done to us mentally that is the problem. Next time you advocate "tanking for picks" ....... well you finish the sentence. |

Our second tier players look average. Our depth is overrated. A team of 'potential champions' wont beat a champion team |

Our selection is astounding. However, you have to question whether Scotland or Carrazzo are premiership players. Maybe the MC wants to get games into Robinson, Joseph & Grigg. What is astounding is the non selection of O'hailpin & the development & lack of strategic insight into the appropriate role of key position players. Kruezer-forward O'hailpin-must play Austin, Hartlett worth the risk? |

They're young blokes, they're always going to struggle against a team of mature bodies and they still played well enough to win, just kicked points instead of goals. The only difference between that game and Brissy one was we converted early instead of kicking points. |

I TOLD EWE YOU SO! In hindsight. It'ss easier to be negative and be right than positive in a game as tough as AFL. Everyone who likes to whinge is just waiting to pounce on their own club's losses and unload via an itchy keyboard. THEY appear to take as much pleasure out of losing as they do winning. |

Scotland is struggling to get through rezzie games and Carrazzo is lacking touch. All in last weeks Bullants write up. Bringing in Satanta when there was a suspicion that Hall wouldnt play would have been foolish unless we dropped Bower or THornton. We lacked run in the end. Needed more run out of the backline. Thornton and co were slow to move it on and it cost us the corridor like last week. Waite took it on in the corridor but was off target. Good to see him try all the same. Looking forward to the challenges ahead. |

I don't think the problem has been our selection, I just think the players haven't got the job done for the 2nd week in a row. I don't think playing Setanta would have made a difference today or last week. I think the MC did the right thing in playing the extra running player. We could have been run off our legs much sooner in both games otherwise. I can't believe posters are seriously suggesting we should have played Carrots today. He needs another couple of VFL games at least. And I think it's funny that we are lamenting our turn-overs today, and then we point the finger at the MC for not selecting Carrots! ![]() Scotland didn't set the world on fire for the Bullants last week, and certainly seemed to struggle to run the game out. But I thought the MC might bring him in just to play 60 minutes today and give us a bit more experience. However, if that hadn't worked, we'd get all the Einsteins-after-the-event posting on here that we shouldn't have played a less than 100% fit player, and that he was taking the spot of a young player, etc. ![]() And Harts and Fish!?! If we are counting on those blokes to make a significant difference, then we are seriously kidding ourselves. Let's hope we see Scotland, Browne, Hammer, Austin, Yarran and Garlett in the best tomorrow for the 'Ants. And that Jamo isn't far off returning. ![]() But the main thing is that we need the players already in the side to play better. It's that simple. |

Its the guys like Browne, Yarran, Hammer, Austin, Garlett, Anderson, O'Keefe that need to step up. We know what other players like Fisher, Hartlett etc can do and to expect much improvement is unrealistic. The return of Jammo, Walker & Warnock will help in the future. Its the kids that will get us to the top. |

If you think that guys like O'Keefe, Garlett & Robbo are going to save us this season you are kidding yourself. Its the current crop that have been there for 3,4,5 years that need to step up and show some leadership. Where were Stevo, Fev, Tbird today?? Too many passengers and too many seasons where we expect the next lot of recruits to save us. |

Sorry this is absolute tripe. We could have totally wasted Sydney in that first quarter - we had the matchups, were dominating the midfield and Swans hardly got a sniff. But we missed a swathe of gettable shots, Sydney inevatibly scraped a few, got their confidence up and ours spiralled. In those circumstances you need your best 5-6 players to stand up and show the way and inspire confidence in the younger players. While Waite and Judd did that, we were let down terribly by Fevola, Stevens, Cloke, etc - the so-called regular selections. |

Never said they were going to save the season! ![]() However, if they are the future they need to start getting games under their belts and show some improvement. There are some players in the side that have had heaps of chances and have taken us nowhere especially in terms of leadership. I remember only 2 years ago Hawthorn making some tough decisions on a few guys for which Clarkson was hugely critcised and look what happened. |

Yep completely agree CJ but from what I have seen in the reserves to date none of these kids are ready yet and need time to develop. No point bringing them in to get their heads knocked off in their first season. Bring in Edwards, Harlett, Anderson, Carlos etc etc and tell them to step up or they are gone at the end of the season. Imagine 7 years in and we are still having to blood players.. ![]() |

If this thread appeared before the game, it would have some credibility. Bagging selection after the event....meh, poor form. At one stage we had 3.12. We dominated the first 40 minutes of the game and but for reasonable goalkicking, the game should have been over. Footy is about taking your opportunities and we didn't. Bringing in Scotland and Carrazzo wouldn't have changed that a bit. Some of the crap that gets posted here after a loss is disappointing. There's little logic. Just supporters venting their spleens. |
