So the Bombers are going to go head-to-head with our midfield ???

Lets assume they use the 1 tag on Judd, that means Murphy, Gibbs, Stevens and Hadley will be playing unapposed ....................

GOD I HOPE IT HAPPENS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

..it will happen all right.. ..you can't afford to tag too many players, otherwise you just end up chasin' arse all day, not too mention no team has enough quality taggers to stifle a good, to v.good midfield.. ..they'll have one hard tag, it will start on Judd, and it will probably shift onto whoever's cutting them up.. ..the real problem for them, is our middle is strong enough to almost garauntee that the tag will occur in the guts.. ..meaning the likes of johnson, gibbs, stevens will be roaming free at times setting up the play.. ..expect to see simmo on his own all day across the flanks being linkman..

I had heard he loved to go deep.

Not that there's anything wrong with that

True.
The way the game is played today teams can really only afford 1 hard tag in the midfield.

To be honest im surprised teams havnt looked into tagging Bryce Gibbs. He is as damaging as any of our midfielders with his disposal and you could see in the first 2 games that we liked to get the ball into his hands whereever possible...i just think he'd be easier to tag as well than the likes of Judd, who is often able to still have a huge influence even with someone tagging him (eg Jackson in round 1).

But then, i guess it doesnt matter who they tag because we have too many good midfielders who will still be damaging...go blues!

..JT, agreed that the Gibblet is a handy sort.. ..heh.. ..but the only team recently foolish enough to let Judd do as he pleased was the doags last yr.. ..and Juddy played the entire game with a smile on his face..

I think Juddy is acting as a bit of a decoy at the moment. Hadley is our in & under, Gibbsy our distributor and Murphy is doing the damage up forward. But Juddy is there to provide the smoke & mirrors.
