HeraldSun: Jonathan Brown on report after Marc Murphy hit

As I said in the R2 highlights thread, I think is a bit of a storm in a teacup. Although, having the charge laid as "rough conduct" might prove a sticking point. Still, I don't think Murph will be losing any sleep over the incident. Those wankers can remind him about the F/S rule all they like...

HE'S A BLUE BOY NOW!

Also, see 33 seconds into this clip...

Nothing in it...should be thrown out...all boys concerned were sweet after the siren, but still glad they 'flew the flag'.

I thought T-bird going to Brown after the siren to shake his hand and Brown telling him to get stuffed was worse

I thought Thornton actually said something to Browny, and then Browny turned away and buggered off. Just what was on radio.

Nothing in it though. Had he actually made contact with the boot that might be different, but there'd be something seriously wrong if he got suspended for it.

An unnecessary action against a much smaller opponent who was flat on his back.

Imagine the media circus had it been Fev.

I hope he gets at least a week. F$#@ him.

This.

An unnecessary and gutless act against a player half his size, lying prone on the ground. Mr Brown, what a big tough man you are.

It was a pretty weak act, sure, but what I will say for Brown is that he's one of those blokes who isn't afraid to do the same with blokes his own size. He's not Maxwell, after all.

What about his head high contact on Simon Black.

There was absolutely nothing in it. Brown was very careful not to knee or kick Murphy. I have no problem with Brown's actions, gee it's frustrating the over-touchiness of the AFL in regards to physicality

Don't chastise him in lieu of previous posts, it's disingenuous.

I seen it as T-bird going to Brown put his hand on his back to get his attention, brown turn round and said something then T-bird put his arms out as in what the

agree, if Barry Hall did it also imagine the uproar. Why should Brown be exempt?

Nothing in it, poor form by Brown but it really should be thrown out.

If that was Fevola and and he got rubbed out for it I know I'd be spewing.

I wonder how nauseated and dizzy this blow has left Murphy?

If Stevens got a week (and Brogan), then surely this has to be worth a week as well.

Interestingly the Freo player who was clearly 'poleaxed' by Stevens has managed to come up okay for the season proper, and show some pretty good form. Quite an amazing recovery!

He should be rubbed out because he is a prancing peacock who thinks he shite doesn't stink.

No surprise however given that he models himself on Carey - the biggest d*&$head in the world.

It wasn't necessary and as Smurph wasn't holding his leg, it was purely intentional.

Nuke the &&^^%$$. :mad:
