Bryce Gibbs running back with the flight, mark between two Lions and play on for the goal.

Not favourite, but does anyone have footage of Brown kneeing Murph in the head? How many weeks?

Murph's goal on the boundary. Who says he can't kick?

Fev's no-look snap near the end. As Piggy Dunstall called it "Pure goal-sense"

None. There wasn't too much in it really. It was unnecessary, but nothing more.

According to someone on BF's Lions board, he's actually been sighted for it. Waste of time.

Not really in the spirit of the thread, but the Kreuzer-Leuenberger battle gave us a nice teaser of the next 10 years or so. These guys will be the pre-eminent ruckmen of their generation I reckon, so we'll plenty more where that came from.

Back OT, I can't remember if it was Murph or Eddie that reaped the rewards of Kreuzer's delightful pickup inside the 50 before offloading to his teammate for an easy goal. Great skills from the big guy. :smoking:

Fev's 5th goal was also pretty spesh. Not to mention Eddie's two gem's from the pocket.

This, and the way his team-mates responded to him made you sense it was a big moment for him.

I also loved Waite's bending 40m grass cutter that hit Fev in the chest in the 2nd quarter.

Yep:

Nuke the bastard.

My fav was Fev's goal over the shoulder in the last - special and freakish.

Houlihan attacked the ball on the boundary in the 2nd quarter in a manner I've never seen him do before, getting crunched in the process. A sign of the times.

The second quarter ruck contests that were won consistently by Kreuzer and Jacobs (hence the clearances and scoreborard pressure that resulted). I do not reacll one centre bounce that was not won by the Carlton rucks and the clearance that followed. This game was won by this consistent effort as it built up a lead that lasted.

In the third quarter the Brisbane mid field worked hard to create secondary bounces and then their rucks used a lot of hard body contact to negate the Carlton rucks. Their clearances in this quarter resulted from this high intensity pressure. In the last quarter they ran out of gas. Playing catch up takes a lot of energy.

This was a good lesson for our rucks and coaching staff -- this is how Sydney play so they can get ready for a lot more of this hard body pressure in Round 4.

Robbo and someone else two on one near the boundary just in front of me and Robbo gave a great hip and shoulder shepherd that allowed the other bloke to get a clear possession and push forward. I can't remember anything else about the incident but I as SO rapt in Robbinson's team play when it looked as though he might have been the most likely to get possession.
It is that sort of defensive effort from the whole team that has created our two wins.

I also liked Cloke's mark in the last. Timely.

Wojee, don't forget he ran 120 metres to get to that contest, after delivering a beautiful pass from deep in defence.
