Does anyone know if Walker's first contract expires this year and, if so, if he has re-signed yet?

All initial under 18 contracts are for 2 years, so yes it runs out at the end of this year.

You'd have thought if it had been extended we would have announced it.

Just a reminder to all that Andrew Walker turned 19 last week. We have rookies in Becker and Smith who are a couple of months older than 1AW.

The beauty of the chat room - you can post something and with or without emoticons can mean something completely different.

He is just a kid and needs another year or 2 of development before we will see the best from him.

Sign him up for 3 years now I say..

Not a chance.

If Chambers stays fit, Livo comes in, Fisher recovers well, and then you consider next year a Hartlett and Russell don't things change marginally.

A good player in PSD, plus a decent trade and by rights we should be more competitive next season.

Walker needs to be held onto , let him develop.

Just get him too pick the ball up, run, bounce and kick.

It's interesting on On the Couch last night Kouta said Pagan instructed them to play basically without any restrictions in the last quarter, Malthouse told the pies too play instinctive football against the Eagles. Guess what look at the difference.

Against Adelaide - tag one mid fielder, but just let the boys loose.

Can't wait to see Walker blossom into one of Carlton's, indeed the game's elite midfielders.
