Now is the time that you either grab your jumper of the clothes rack - or off the ground/out of the car boot/whereever it may be. What state is it in? Does it still smell of the aftershave of the random Carlton supporter you hugged in Round 4 (vs Collingwood) last year? Is it still soaked in the tears you spilt when the Cheif was chaired off after kicking 4 against the Doggies in Round 17?! Or is it neatly cleaned and pressed, and returned to the centrepiece of your shrine dedicated to the Mighty Blues? I'd like to say that how you treat your jumper says a lot about you as a supporter. But it doesn't. But just OWNING one put you in an elite club, a club reserved for those destined to taste success. Doesn't matter if it's this years guernsey, the *ugh* clash strip, or a long-sleeved woolen number from circa 1980s - just make sure you are wearing it with pride come 7.40pm tomorrow night. GO THE BLUES!! |
