Gibbs? Murphy?? Juddy???

Nup!!! Not even Judd almighty is the winner on this occasion and I reckon Stevens should have been included anyway - I'd love to be on the end of a kick from Nick.. if I was leading one out from the square!

The answer will be pretty obvious when you open up what is actually a good little read, but read right through to the end to confirm the answer. It's actually a bit heartwarming!!!

He gave the answer away in a pre-match interview before last week's game.

(Which is what the end of the article says, haha.)

..also, when interviewed prior to the nab vs NM game,, Bucks included stevens, along with judd, murph, gibbler.. ..bucks asked him who out of those four, Fev said any but he preferred Houla.. ..also, not the first time he's said so.. ..been asked that a few times over his career and he's answered houla quite a number of times.. ..just watch them play together, they've got a real understanding..

Good to have him back. Being free of OP at his age now might prolong his career, should be at his peak this year.

I can't help but feel that the significance of the article was more in the fact that Houlihan has played his whole career in pain, and this will be his first season pain-free...and that that's an exciting thing...

And yes, it is nice that Fevola likes Houla to kick the ball to him as well.

The confidence growing within the playing group, and the growing committment to the game plan is another significant part of the article. Overall that's one of the best footy articles I've read in a long time. Well done Emma

His discomfort and pain may go some way to explain why many supporters had Houla in their sights. In some cases well justified from what they saw on the field. It is going to be a revelation to watch him play this year. Fev and the other forwards had better get used to some sharp delivery into the forward line. A forward line with Houla, Walks, Fev, Kreuz, Yarran, Eddie et al is looking pretty exciting. Hope Clokey can provide that other big body up there as well.

Yep good read.

Always had a soft spot for Houlihan he was my favourite player for many years.

His attack on the footy last week was the best I have ever seen it and definitely not worthy of 'blouse' It's good to see him pain free I think it really shows.

Interesting Houla has been playing with the debilitating OP for about 8 years - he has been subject to a lot of criticism in here but obviously has been battling injury most of his career just to get to the starting gate - 150 plus games pushing through the pain barrier - took guts to get operation done last year and essentially took the year off - just shows its easy to be hypercritical without knowing the circumstances

Great to have houlihan back. And it is noticeable how good midfield delivery can make a forward line look better than they really are (think west coast of a few years ago). Guys like cloke, edwards, hartlett etc. will be very greatful to have houla in the team, coz with his delivery he can make them look good, where-as a guy like fev doesn't need the mids to make him look good, its just a luxury.

What sort of half-arsed medical and training staff did we used to have, who'd allow a guy to play 8 seasons in constant pain?

It becomes clearer and clearer how we found ourselves on the bottom of the ladder for so long. Just mind-boggling.

I can't believe that our medical staff would've been so negligent. Not accusing Houlas of anything but this just doesn't sound right to me.

Our footy dept was bad but it wasn't that bad.

Anyhow, it's all in the past, good luck to Houlas for the future.

Nice to know Houla took the hit of being the guinea pig to allow the doctor to perform the same procedure perfectly on Kreuz. Thanks Houla :smoking:

You would have a lot more courage if you told Houla this to his face rather than type it in here.
Talk about piss weak.

Whoa, is it that time of month again woof?!!? :yikes:

I have always been a fan of Hoops but tackling has never been his forte and I was just saying I don’t expect that to change even post-op. Not a big deal, they don’t all have to tackle like Benchy!

Well not the tackles that don't stick...what about Houla's tackles that do stick...there's been some beauties. :donk:
