I'm really looking forward to today's game. The Hawks with up to 7 or 8 Premiership players missing, but supposedly have the best young talent coming through in reserve gaining an opportunity to impress today. As for the Blues, 3-4 changes from last week, looking closer to full strength for this game should really come away with the win by 4-5 goals. What I want to see is the Hawks play the kamikaze style football we expect from them, last week the Kanga's were ordinary and we just cruised through the game. If the Hawks come to play it will be exciting to see how the team handles it, especially some of the fringe players looking for selection Round 1. Interest for me is to see which Fisher turns up to play, 2007 or 2008 version? how will Hadley play? has JR taken another step? how will our forward line perform against the original version of the cluster? will Garlett and Robbo continue to impress? will Sammy and Hammer break even with Taylor/Campbell combo? |

Good forwadline pressure from the Blues, but then the Hawks switched and delivered to C.Brown for an easy mark between 3 Blues. Hawks have come to play early. Hawks 0 0 1 1 Blues 0 0 0 0 |

Hawks playing it hard and tough, Blues lacking. T-bird gives away a free to McGlynn on 45 degree angle and kicks the first for the day. CJ kicks our first behind, rushed shot from 45. Hawks 0 1 2 8 Blues 0 0 1 1 |

T-Bird turns it over again, JR shirked a 50/50, Blues looking poor so far. Roughhead scores a goal from turnover. Hawks 0 2 2 14 Blues 0 0 1 1 |

JR redeemed himself to win a free on half forward. T-Bird gives another free kick away to Williams this time, luckily only a point. T-Bird having a shocker, but not the only one. Hawks 0 2 4 16 Blues 0 0 2 2 |
